Woot! Turned off my adblocker for ML and they showed up.

Are the ads live? Or am I being a bad member and blocking them?

Sadly they aren't hosted on a ad site so ad block plus don't work.

You can manually block them (but why wouldn't you want to support ML). It doesn't fix the squashed to one side look though.

uBlock was blocking them for me. Not sure if they base it on content or some other metric, since it isn't using a standard ad server.

Some adblocking does work. Maybe not all. I have no idea how some detect it as an ad since it is all hosted inside the application.

Some adblocking does work. Maybe not all. I have no idea how some detect it as an ad since it is all hosted inside the application.

It could be using algorithms, like looking for the "sponsored by" text, or comparing the image against a database of other ads.

It looks like an ad form factor, has ad location placement and links to another site. Wouldn't take much to guess. I wonder if it blocks if it doesn't link anywhere?

It turns out I've had AdBlocker off for this site for a while now, lol. The ad doesn't appear to cause any issues for me on my Office machine. I'll check my laptop tonight and see.

Been nothing to block other than a few hours of testing a few weeks ago.

Yeah.... right click -> block element seems to be useless on these. Not really diggin' that....

Sound like an adblocker issue.

I don't care about the ads, so long as the content gets centered again.

Making me strain my head to the left to feel like I'm in front of the content.

My only request about ads is that they are hosted on ML, not pulled from an ad stream. Those streams are where all kinds of malware come from, plus tracking and all kinds of slowness.

OH.. do the ads show up on mobile?

They are. These are pure images with "a" link tags. We are keeping this light, safe and fast.
