@Romo said in Installing Snipe-IT on CentOS 7 and MariaDB:
@jfc Setup you CentOS 7 vm and only use their install script.
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/snipe/snipe-it/master/install.sh chmod 744 install.sh ./install.shIt will download everything you need and get you to a working Snipe IT installation, I just setup my own Snipe IT vm like this =).
Tested on centOS 7 installs great. Wonder how we update.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Nowposted in Water Closet
I don't see carrying around an extra adapter as an issue. It would just be connected to my earbuds which i already carry around anyways.

I don't get the love for the headphone jack.
They are including an adapter, so you can still you traditional headphones.
Whats the point of having two ports when you can do everything you need with one.

RE: Time syncronisation in domainposted in IT Discussion
Here are my command notes when i setup it up on our windows domain. Obviously replace {local time server} with the ip of your local time server if it exists.
net stop w32time
w32tm /config /syncfromflags:manual /manualpeerlist:"{local time server}, time.nist.gov"
w32tm /config /reliable:yes
net start w32timeI did not have to make any changes to users workstations, they automatically synced with the DC's.

Running them isn't difficult either. You can run the cables, or do what i did which is to make friends with your building maintenance and ask them for help.
300+ runs and counting.

RE: HP Elite x2 - HP's Microsoft Surface killerposted in IT Discussion
We are rolling them out here. We evaluated other products like the Surface Pro 4 and super lightweight laptops. So far we love them. We combined them with the HP wireless dock for when the user is in the office.

When we evaluated the SP2, the brand new demo was DOA. I just don't trust it.

RE: Excessive white space on MLposted in Water Closet
@IRJ said in Excessive white space on ML:
The white space isn't a bad thing. It gives ML a chance to use a sidebar there for better navigation, advertising, or whatever else.
Yeah but currently it is not. Even with the side ad there is alot of white space to its right.
