I just tossed my first one, which was totally shot, a couple days ago.

The opposite happened to me.

I texted my boss and put LOL in it.. she later questioned be me about it. I told her it meant Laughing... she then told me her and her daughter used it to mean lots of love.

it's clearly used by different groups for different meanings.

I think people who are passionate about specializing mostly have to do so on their own. Nothing wrong with allowing opportunity to be your guide. I enjoy most anything so I tend to be like you CB and just go along for the ride. I'm a generalist and never specialized.

But if you are passionate about HyperV or SQL Server then there is a lot that you can do outside of work to make yourself specialized to a point where any shop looking to use you as a generalist or for a different specialty would not find you cost effective.

Yes you are. But they are allowed to not retain you too. "Allowed" is a fuzzy term here. You are allowed to speak about them publicly, they are allowed to let you go. It's a two way street. Very few companies, at least large ones, allow employees to speak ill of them publicly and even fewer allow employees to state that they are employees.

That makes sense. The folder I was trying to delete had a crazy long name and it was at a root + 2 directories deep level.

@Nic , they have a version of 2048 with the numbers. I've beat it but are much slower at it. I like it with letters better.
