Only if setting it up to connect via iSCSI.
Isn't that what it uses?
Makes sense. I'm not saying that it is a good choice, but seems worthy of inclusion in an evaluation.
It is working! Thanks @GregoryHall that is actually very easy and useful. Maybe it should have something in the interface to guide people to that a little more naturally, but knowing that it is there makes it way easier.

Started playing Magicka over the weekend. It's a lot of fun as a local co-op game.
Is that the one with "Vlad, who is not a vampire" ?
Sounds like the right one.
This looks pretty interesting. I've got a Windows 10 machine, I guess I can give it a spin there.

I just tested this on mine and it works! It's very cool. And if you double click it creates a chat message for the group! (Edited from an accidental MLNews post.)
Oh, that's neat. Could be used for permanent discussion groups then!
Chrome here, not working either. Can't remember having seen it all week.
Have you tried the Steam Controller? It does a pretty awesome job of dealing with those old keyboard-only games.
Sounds like all positive stuff. SC seems to be a good company.

That's an interesting use for it. I'm in the market for a controller but I've heard a lot of people complaining about the stream controller. Maybe I'll give it a shot.
Not so interesting as that was its designated purpose The entire reason for the Steam Controller was to provide a way for keyboard/mouse games to be played with a controller. If it wasn't for that, you'd just use an Xbox 360 or Logitech gamepad for everything. It's only for the keyboard/mouse stuff that the Steam Controller is something special.

Scale needs 3 nodes, they don't have anything to install on existing servers like OP has and Scale has no Hyper-V support.
Scale would be a change of direction. No need for John to manage his hypervisor or storage. Everything in a single package, ready to go.
Moving from 2TB drives up to 4TB RE drives won't hit 10K RPM per drive but the move from RAID 6 to RAID 10 will help a lot with database performance.

$203 for a 4TB RE SAS drive.

that's why I've started posting the information of importance here on ML instead of just a link to the site.

That's what I do.
That's one reason i've always thought of doing a blog type site listing things i've done and how.
You could use a microblog platform. Twitter if you don't mind things being public. Status.net if you want to run your own.

He feels more comfortable with enterprise grade SSD's, I'm trying trying to determine if it's actually "worth it".
If it is about "feels", does "worth it" come into play?

Scott mentioned that it's possible to restore the hardware with SC as well. Is this an additional process, or something that is just performed automatically?
You would only backup the files in that case. We are talking the Dom0 here. Just the files, not the full VM.
