ELK or Graylog?
Hello Team,
Currently in our environment we are using Kiwi Sylsog server for logging events from servers and network devices. As kiwi slog server provide as the web page but limited and it cannot be visualize some thing like ELK etc.
As we have a lot of data with no use, though about of some application which can integrate with kiwi sysog to visualize my events and monitor the events.
Any one work on such things or can some one suggest an idea to use the syslog data for log analytics
Hello All,
The Issue has been fixed as the reason for RemoteRegistry access Denied is Our Domain environment GPO is configured the RemoteRegistry service to start as automatic but the security setting of that service is configured with no user which cause all users to access deny.
Configured the GPO is with appropriate permission to the RemoteRegistry service and now all working prefect
Thanks All
Not sure, but I think if we modification the script inside /etc/init.d/openfire file it may work.
I have tried to replace the openfire file with openfire 4.1 version under /etc/init.d, now the pid error is not there and starting the service but after 3-4 sec its Shutting down openfire

Hello All,
I am configuring an SQL 2016 Cluster under Windows 2016 Failover Cluster. During the process of adding node to the existing cluster, I have an issue as the SQL Cluster instance name is not showing.
During the Windows 2016 Failover Cluster configuration, I had an issue as the domain admins can only validate the cluster, the domain users which are the part of local admin group of both nodes are not able to validate the cluster. While validating the Cluster, it fails with the error
" Cluster Validation Failed "OpenService 'RemoteRegistry' failed. Access is denied"
I had created a support ticket in social.technet.microsoft.com forum and configured as per their suggestion but no luck.
Finally, decided to validate the Failover cluster and install the SQL 2016 cluster under domain admin account.
New SQL Server failover cluster installation was successful in Node 1. But when login to Node2 for adding the node to the failover cluster , SQL Cluster instance name is not showing.
Please help to find out the root cause and fix this issue to have a SQL 2016 failover Cluster. We are having SQL2014 failover cluster in the same domain without any Issue. The same GPO's are applied to the new 2016 Nodes

We are having internal chat system as Openfire on 3.9.1 and we have modified some of the features and rebuild the rpm. This is the reason we are not using the latest version.
This customized build is working fine in Centos 6.5 , now we are planing to upgraded the Centos to 7. While testing the Openfire on 3.9.1, we are not able to control the service through systemctl .
Is Openfire on 3.9.1 is compatable with centos 7? Any workaround to make the Openfire on 3.9.1 function in centos 7?
Hello All,
I am having issue when starting the openfire with commad " systemctl start openfire".
I have installed Centos 7 minimal (CentOS Linux release 7.5.1804 (Core) ) and installed openfire-3.9.1-1.x86_64.rpm.
Configured JAVA_HOME and alsl installed the libstdc++.i686.
But when I start the openfire with commad " systemctl start openfire", I am getting the error
" systemd[1]: PID file /var/run/openfire.pid not readable (yet?) after start."
Openfire is not able to control with systemctl and also with service start Openfire.
Output of journalctl -u openfire -f -a -n 0

Hello All,
Currently I am working on a project for federating onprimse AD with Azure AD using ADFS.3.0
I have setup ADFS and Configured federation with Azure. For MFA I am using Azure MFA Server and Its working fine.MFA is with SMS and OATH Method.
Now I would like to test the MFA with Smartcard.
I would request to share the document for configuring Smart card MFA with ADFS 3.0
Thanks in Advance.

@scottalanmiller Thanks Scott, really appreciate
@scottalanmiller Agree scott, unfortunately Management current decision is to continue the SQL in the Physical cluster and seems they have no plans to change. If possible kindly share me some details and documents which can help me to propose the same to my management for review.

t' this in production? Databases are the last thing you'd want physica
This is in Production and currently we are doing SQL native backup as the Rapid Recovery is not able to see the clustered share volume to take block level backup
@scottalanmiller said in Microsoft SQL Backup Solution:
ock level do this equally. Being agent based is not a factor in this capability.
Thanks scott, I will be testing the Veeam solution also.
I would like to have a Backup solution of SQL with native agent base backup rather than Block level backup, so that I can restore in DB level.
@scottalanmiller We are using Physical SQL Cluster with CSV.

Hello All,
I would like to get the suggestion on SQL backup Solution. Currently our environment is have two node SQL cluster with around 16 TB of Data. We are using Rapid Recovery as the Backup solution. We have upgraded our Windows Cluster to 2012 with Clustered Share Volume and the SQL Cluster to 2014.
Now we are facing issue with Rapid Recovery as its not able to understand the clustered share volume and we are not able to take the backup of our SQL storage on Block level. As per Rapid Recovery, they are not sure when they will release a version which support CSV.
We are in a situation to look into another SQL backup Solutions. Currently I am testing the Unitrends backup Virtual appliance and Its is good in backup, but I am having some issues on the retention polices as they provide only minimal policy which is on the SQL instance level.
Kindly suggest me a good backup solution for the SQL database which is having application native backup agent or CSV support , rather than block level backup. Also with the backup policy and retention policy of
Backup : - Daily Incremental and Monthly Full backup
Retention : - 2 Week incremental and Last month Full backup.
Backup : Every 6 Month
Retention : Last 6th Month
Backup : Every Year
Retention : Last 2 year.
If this can be achieved in Unitrends please share the details.
Thanks in Advance.
Hello All,
We are facing disconnection ,Signal strength , bandwidth and high interference issues with our current wireless network . we are using Aruba IAP products, it is with two Access Point and inbuild Virtual Controller. Management decided to replace the Aruba product with another product as we required more access point to fulfill the requirements.
Please suggest a good Access Point with hardware controller. Currently our wireless network is a separate network and we are not having any resource to use virtual software, so better to go with hardware controller.
I like to go with ubiquiti unifi but it doesn't have any hardware controller. How about Ruckus ZoneDirector ?
Suggestion required
Thanks All for the valid comments.
Management is looking for a low cost solution , Currently we are having a two Physical Windows Server 2012 R2 standard Cluster with Microsoft SQL 2014 standard edition. Storage is Dell compellent. This setup is done in Datacenter A and In datacenter B we are having two Physical Windows Server 2012 R2 standard Cluster with Microsoft SQL 2014 standard edition and storage is Dell equallogic.
Now the application is configured to send data to both SQL cluster and in outage or maintenance we are reconnecting all services to Datacenter B.
Requirement is to reduce the manual process and only doing a DNS change or Load balance change should move service from Datacenter A to Datacenter B and SQL data should be the same. SQL alwayson seems to be the exact solution but not in budget.
