Just tell them to put you on their do not contact list. Since these are bulk emails and phone calls they have to honor that or face fines.

They have quotas for cold calls that they have to meet. It still sucks, but that's what they are measured on as well as the actual sales they make.

Getting close to finishing The Witness. I'm not sure if I'll bother doing all the environmental puzzles or not. Some of the puzzles are hella tough and I just looked them up when I got stuck. Overall a great game if you like puzzles.

@momurda I think they left the brainstem so that basic functions still worked and just scooped out the rest of the brain. Kind of like that headless chicken that lived for years:

To debunk the frog story a bit, in the experiment where they sat in the slowly boiling water, they were decorticated first. So the only frog that stays in water that boils is one with brain damage 🙂

Which likely occurs from the boiling water.... which in another way means, as you see things beginning to boil, you begin to care less and less and just let it get worse.

No, the brain was removed first 🙂 https://thinkprogress.org/stop-saying-humans-are-like-slowly-boiling-frogs-f27537e83355

I started on The Witness over the weekend. The puzzles are good and challenging. I haven't figured out some of the puzzle types yet, but I've managed to light two beacons.

      I've been eyeing that one.

Humble Bundle Monthly is where I got it - $12 for their subscription service. If you like puzzles then this is a good one.

Hard as balls platformer with some clever puzzles. Quite frustrating, but in a good way.

Terpenes and their effects on the cannabinoids is a fascinating area of study. I had one dispensary owner recommend adding fruit juices to you bong water to increase the percentages of terpenes that you absorb. For instance lemon juice is high in limonene (hence the name). A lot of the folks doing extractions separate out the terpenes individually and add them back in. You can adjust the ratios that way. The dispensaries here often show the terpene percentages of various strains along with their THC and CBD percentages.

Started playing Party Hard, where you have to secretly kill everyone at a party. It's loads of fun.

      Multiplayer, I assume?

No, it's not one of those "find the murderer" games. Instead it's just you trying to kill all the people at the party without getting caught. You get to set off traps, dispose of bodies, and run from the cops and bouncers. It's by Devolver, and has a similar art style and play feel to Hotline Miami. Just without guns.

Been playing Owlboy, which is a very polished and cute retro metroidvania platformer. Some challenging boss fights.

Yeah I've been fiddling with my ergonomics and I think I've solved one problem, which is that my monitor was too far back on my desk causing me to hunch forward. Fingers crossed that the physical therapy keeps working.
