@BRRABill yeah I was surprised, even impressed, with how fast they realized and corrected their mistake. They must have seen an avalanche of cancellations.

Doing some driving and seeing some places I've never been. Hitting the rockies on Monday and crashing with @Grey in Denver. Hoping to see @Nic while I am there as well. Never been to Denver before.
Sure thing - what's your schedule while you are here?
Got in super late because of the snow. In bed now. Might have time for breakfast in the morning if the storm holds off. I drove in non-stop snow all day today. Really sucked.
Ok cool - just keep me posted.
Ended up getting on the road like 6am. Had to avoid the snow.
No worries, catch you next time. Bad timing

We played Overcooked as a family last night. @scottalanmiller is a very angry time management game player, lol.
I'm shocked, shocked, I say!

On Android Webroot is great. iOS doesn't really allow any true AV so it's a moot point there.
Is it the same principle as the desktop version? More focus on what's running than on scans?
A lot of it is about anti-phishing (i.e. protecting you from going to a malicious website) and malicious apps (i.e. preventing you from installing something that is going to do something bad). The anti-phishing tech is the same as the desktop, but the reputation database for the Google Play store and other apps is unique to mobile.

Seems like I remember somebody saying it was the total count of ads blocked overall, not just per visit.
Yup, it's cumulative.

@scottalanmiller same here - the Echo is great. I use it for playing music, adding stuff to the shopping list, and asking stupid jokes

@Tim_G said in Ok, which one of you broke the Internet?:
@Nic My tin foil hat says that if twitter and reddit are down (and others), more people will be using the bathroom. Therefore, the possibility to overload the pipes, which could explode and potentially lead to server rooms flooding... therefore causing even more internets to be down, and eventually making its way to brining down WikiLeaks.
-
RE: Ok, which one of you broke the Internet?
I'm not saying they're trying to take Wikileaks down. I'm saying they're trying to take down the distribution methods. If Twitter and reddit are down, then Wikileaks can release whatever they want but people won't be able to share and talk about it. They don't have to stop it completely, they just have to slow it down enough so that the last minute bombshells don't get to everyone in time before they vote.
Anyway, I'm only talking from the tin foil hat perspective and have no idea if it's related at all.

RE: Ok, which one of you broke the Internet?
tin foil hat time: they're trying to stiffle wikileaks and the ddos won't end until after Nov 8th
