@DustinB3403 true.. however I am trying to learn the technology . The problem I am have is trying to learn. Thats how Scale and all these other companies come in business. they take an idea and make it better.

I know everyone has they're opinions about money and what not. But at the same time... this is what fuels my desire in the tech industry. Is to learn new tech and keep evolving over time. Seeing what other best practices are and so forth and so on.

So it might look at a costly investment etc, and a lot of time wasted but that is your opinion. Its just like collection cars. this not only how I make money but a hobby for me too.

No I don't want to replace scale. I just want to build something for testing. And or use if for my own in house stuff. The production is staying on scale.

What kinds of servers do you recommend. I have dell R710. Or should I look for getting better servers? I am going to get all SSD drives.

Ok. I have an older scale system 1150., I want to upgrade the HDD but they told me to just upgrade the node for bigger storage.

I have played around with Ovirt, And Xcp-ng. I am going to try proxmox next. What are your thoughts on using local storage instead of a Shared storage.

All drives would be in sync with every node. with no san or shared storage.

Well for me, I only need 2 email address at the moment and this is internal use. not a lot of storage, and this is only for testing and not production. I will not offer it to clients. it would be for my own.

Happy new Year All I have a question. I want to host my own mail server, and I am looking to setup something like gmail, that has all the apps like drive etc, that is a freeware that I can use. Is there anything out there like that. It's just for testing for now.,

So this is what I am trying to accomplish, Prior to this setup I had 5 static ip's. Now I have only 1 ip. I have 2-3 web servers that are vm's. One is an odoo, and 2 different screen connect servers. I want to be able to use port 80 on each server, router them to there local ip. 10.0.0.x but still use there example.com name

I have a client of mine that wants to build a custom PC. I have been out of the custom build PC's for sometime now. However I don't know what to do for him. He needs to be able to run 6 HD monitors. He wants speed. his current setup is an AMD Black with 32gb of ram. And 3 gpu's He has a 512 ssd drive however the computer is lagging under the load of the GPU's. So he wants to upgrade everything. He streams all his HD Camera's and he as them all web based browsers. He opens up multiple windows at a time. So he can be logged into the Camera who knows how ever many times on different monitors. and he also does his own personal stuff like Facebook and skype etc. What do you guys suggest.
