@scottalanmiller Correction I was able to put on that same model drive. but the system didn't detect it. They had to remote in and enable the port for the drive. But the drive the a bought off of amazon worked.

They wanted to spend 350 for the drive that I paid 98 bucks for . It's a 1tb sas drive.

@scottalanmiller agreed, I went with this, based on a recommendation. Haven't had any major issue with it. But I feel its the calm before the storm. And I need to be proactive with not having all my eggs on one basket. I would like to have bought another scale cluster a have a beefed up one that I can run nextcloud on it . but I am not there.

@scottalanmiller I like scale for what it does. However I think at a certain point if a client wants to manage there own equipment after so many years they should know how to do it.

@Pete-S From my understanding this is bundled together. This is the total resources that you can use.

@scottalanmiller I was on the phone with redhat today about getting Redhat subscriptions with Virtual manager

Yeah I am mostly all linux. Not a fan of Microsoft. the DC's Were some of my old computers that I had on a domain that I just haven't had time to migrate stuff. and demote the dC. also I try to start current in windows but there is not enough time. I am running server 2012.. Which I originally figured I would create 3 hyper v servers. that turned into a cluster nightmare for me.

Yes. My billing system is all automated so every cpanel server can suspend users etc.

However HTML websites are only on cpanel, Wordpress sites are on a custom build through linux running hhvm, ubuntu, Varnish

Here is my environment and what I would like to be able to do. I have custom made app that I made similar to wp-engine. That when I get a new client on Wordpress, I spin up the vm and setup them up and there up and running. I am in the process of build my OWN Whmcs, I want to be able to spin up vm from my website just like Linode does.

I am currently running over 45 vm's. Cpanel, Custom VM for Wordpress, DC's , CRM, Jira, Billing, Clients custom EHR. PBX.

      Correction I have 42 vm's running
      tb
Scale specs are 24 cores, 188gb of ram 10tb.

Listen guys things have changed in my life that with out me air my dirty laundry out here forbid me to do what is considered "Industry Standard". This is something that I would like to do. I totally get you guys are right on liquidating my stuff. I am not going to get nearly what i would get to pay off the charges of canceling the contracts. For me to move my clients off my machines would be very time consuming. I will no longer post! forget the topic.

@DustinB3403 I can not do that!. I have two 5 year terms with fiber. It would lost me like 80k per ISP to cancel.

So are far as warranty, I get it. I need that. However the cost of new equipment at the present time is out of my budget. I would love to sell my scale server, But I have to have something else built. Scale for me is designed for small business, Not hosting companies.

I get everyone view on this. However, I have a ton of equipment. I already have 5 year contracts with fiber. It would cost me more money to cancel the contracts 20K per ISP for me to put my stuff in the cloud. SO While I have all this equipment here that is collecting dust I can use it to make sure I stay up and running.

I really want a product that works and can be put in productions. I have 24 cpanel servers that I cant have go offline.

I do both, and it just seems easier when I have build an application, or custom dev, I can just spin up a machine in my own environment and do what I need to do. plus I have all this equipment already.
