@Dashrender Fair point, some is no doubt carrier driven and I accept that most users would have difficulty telling the difference. I still don't think that makes your point though. They may not intend all their add ons to hurt their product - probably quite the reverse; it still happens however. Imagine how much faster a Galaxy S5 would be running vanilla as an example.

Connected the delinquent "vancouver" one back up to clean 100mbit lan, will see if anything changes.

I think this would benefit Mr. Average Joe.... a lot.
Better still, BAN THE CRAPWARE straight from the manufacturer. Want to sell PC's with Windows? Don't install anything other than drivers. The end.

@IRJ Just take the battery out, caulk shut the doors and fill it with 100% alcohol cleaner through the sunroof. It's the IT way.
