For the record, super pleased with ours!

You gotta use bait man - try some of these:
My 500TB raid 5 array is acting funny
I have a single high reliability SAN setup for a billion dollar corporation, why is it rebooting every 10 minutes?
I've done my homework: single point of failure is a solid, money saving idea
Without University no one should ever work in IT
@scottalanmiller Hello IT Staff Member!! Do you find yourself working alone on the weekends? Are you the only member of your department? Would you like to attend a conference to learn junk about stuff and sympathize / complain and relate to other people as over worked as you? MangoCon 2016 - where "if it plugs in or takes batteries makes it your responsibility" is something we all can relate to.
Current picture of staff roaming the halls @ NTG:

Since we three minions of the IT apocalypse began our tenure here (3 months apart roughly) we inherited a diverse environment with unique demands. Such were these demands that we neglected to do a really fine toothed comb of the nitty gritty here. Excuses. Valid and at the time important ones. Excuses none the less. Today we reaped the rewards of completing that exercise nearly 3 years too late.
Feast thine eyes upon our embarrassment.
As you may have surmised from the heat maps above, our AP's were setup incorrectly. It turns out they work better when put on the correct VLAN and rebooted. This existed for almost 3 years with weekly complaints about wifi. We never stopped to investigate the actual equipment until today when preparing a project plan for it's replacement.
Why share my misery? So you can LEARN and not repeat our mistake.

I wonder how well it will work for 2D games, as nothing more than a "personal monitor." If it worked well for that, I might really like it for that 90% of the time.
Not sure how mobile it is... seems like it would need a lot of stuff.

Keep forgetting I blocked steam on the firewall so I don't spend money at work lol
Fondly remembering my hike last weekend. Mt Arrowsmith on Vancouver Island (1800m elevation)

So I get an email about people not being aware that technology ages and needs to be replaced regularly, and I reply 15 minutes after receiving this email, about how tech needs to be refreshed regularly.
And 5 minutes after that the wind knocks out the power.
In other news, IT admin fired today after sassing employees and then causing and focusing a wind storm to knock out power and prove his point.

@scottalanmiller @Minion-Queen
Y'all need to figure out a way to get some of them to sign up for accounts
I totally agree..... any ideas?

@Minion-Queen Do it anyway, being predictable is for driving.
Same as everyone else I think, killed my boss. As he was dying, mortally wounded by my sword, he whispered the admin credentials to me. As is tradition.
Expected an article on how to emotionally manipulate coworkers into doing what I want - disappointed.

Should I (personally) disappoint you now, or later? :bowtie:
