Nutty, but I try to do some Lumosity at lunch to take my head out of my work and refocus for the afternoon.
Oh, and a stonking big glass of pulpy orange juice.

RE: What should I mix with Jack?
I think the nicest stuff I've had just for a change, was some Wild Turkey honey something. Or something honey.
Still, there is something unbeatable about the buzz from the first sip of a semi frothy bourbon-and-coke. Mmmmm.

RE: What should I mix with Jack?
@scottalanmiller How about Blantons? The one with the horse on the top.

RE: Welcome to MangoLassi!
Out of interest, is there a way to find out what posts your reputation points come from?
I know, I know, ego/obsession/etc... Just intrigued -
RE: If you could live anywhere....
@Joyfano I have been lucky. When I was 17 I went overseas with my family, we went to San Fran, LA, Orlando, and to England.
Then recently I have been to North & South Island NZ.Now if I could just get on a plane to BA...

RE: What should I mix with Jack?
So has the question changed from, "What should I mix with Jack" to "Should I be having Jack"...?
Now that the seasoned experts have weighed in... -
RE: If you could live anywhere....
@scottalanmiller I would definitely recommend NZ.
I'm never sure why Kiwis move to Aus... they have the most beautiful country in the world, I think. -
RE: If you could live anywhere....
@tfl, sorry didn't see your other reply.
I have also been to Windamere! -
RE: If you could live anywhere....
@tfl north/south/where?
I have been to London, Southampton/Portsmouth, Liverpool/Chester. -
RE: If you could live anywhere....
@tfl, So where's there?
My answer depends on how much I really let go of reality.
Buenos Aires
Los Angeles

RE: Random Thread - Anything Goes
In the office... thankfully we had a customer let us try some of their aged meat, so all is not lost.
Still... I'm HUNGRY! -

RE: Sorting out the IT Vendor threads
@Hubtech Thanks, but wouldn't I need to have the new addresses set up first? I know I can get forwarding set up reasonably easily, but I'm having trouble getting the email addresses happening in the first place.
Or maybe I just don't know what I'm doing -
Sorting out the IT Vendor threads
I don't know that anyone can help me unravel this, but I'm trying to get a handle on our IT vendors and getting more than a bit confuzzled.
Context: we are in the process of rebranding our company, current email addresses are [email protected], and we want to change them to [email protected]. We have a new website set up on newdomain.com.au, and the old website domain is redirected to that, so it looks really funny to have different domains for emails and websites. We have our own server. However, current email is hosted by company A, and pulled down with a POP collector to our Exchange where it acts as though it were being delivered to our server.
Old domain is registered with company A.New domain is registered with company B.
New domain's web hosting is with company C.
Our local Exchange is managed by company D.Company D has made changes within Exchange to provide these new addresses for all users.
I have made changes in Company B's & C's dashboards to make the mail records go to the right place (I am not at all knowledgeable in this area so that is probably not the right way to refer to them).Still no joy according to company D. Not sure what else to check on? I'm really wishing that we were a bit smarter and just did all this stuff through one or at the most two vendors rather than trying to chase them through. Feels like I'm trying to find the ends of some of the cables in our switch....
TL;DR: I'm confused because we have too many different tech vendors and I just want to set up email addresses with the new domain name.
Thanks!

RE: Random Thread - Anything Goes
@lance Try this one - ate it yesterday. Light enough that I think I could eat about three servings without too much difficulty.
We serve it with icecream & homemade berry sauce (just thaw the berries and thicken the juice with some icing sugar/cornflour).

Cookies

What do you like to eat? I'm a sweet tooth kinda person... -
RE: What are you listening to? What would you recommend?
I think I have one of the most random tastes in music around.. but my favourite bands atm are pretty much Queen & McFly. Fun to play, very fun to play.
But I love classical, country (much country), classic rock, plenty of pop stuff etc. Not as much jazz but as soon as I think I've found a definite dislike to a certain genre, I find something I like in it. I play A LOT, always meaning to get into doing some recording but never got the time. -
RE: Random Thread - Anything Goes
mmm. My boss is off sick, but my to-do list is about 2k long... and I'm reading old BOFH episodes!
I'm not good at working on my own in a quiet office unless there's some urgent deadline to really get me going.
But there's SOOOO much to do...... grr. -
RE: If you are new drop in say hello and introduce yourself please!
@technobabble No, backing as in I play as well as (more than in fact) sing.
Piano/guitar/drums/banjo (the last one is a bit of a joke, I never got terribly far with that one and have certainly never sang with it :)) -
RE: If you are new drop in say hello and introduce yourself please!
@technobabble I don't do karaoke as such... but I do provide my own backing
