@Hubtech I don't have a server rack in my home office. It looks like a leprechaun vomited IKEA in here.
There are multiple IKEA pieces, most of which are green.

How much multitasking is too much?
Whilst having a conversation with my friend about excessive computer displays, it occurred to me - how much multitasking is too much?
Yes, you can look at 4 projects at once with 4 displays, but there comes a point that I'll call "terminal productivity". This is the point at which your personal productivity bandwidth is saturated and you can neither take on more tasks or complete anything competently.
At what point is it overwhelming to have too many things going on in front of you at once?

RE: Replacing old phone system
In addition to Elastix, Shoretel is another system that is pretty good.
I am unsure what the implementation costs are with it, but I found it to be an easy system to learn and administer. -

That's because (in my case) right now it's only me. I'm not 100% sure you can give a completely accurate description. It's a weird world branching out from a job that I created for myself to a business that others can contribute to.
NTG is always in that boat too. What we need today is unlikely what we need tomorrow. Descriptions would be misleading or counterproductive in many cases.
Nothing more frustrating than responding to a job post and upon further query, the actual job is nothing at all like what the posting said. Waste of time and energy if it's a mis-match.

RE: Favorite Interview Question?
@NetworkNerd The most frustrating of interview questions that have been posed to me were seemingly simple situations where conventional methods did not resolve the issue.
The idea was to gain understanding of the thought process behind the solution, rather than the actual resolution itself. -
RE: Common issues in Quickbooks
@Nic That client has separate installs for each version. I'm glad I don't work there in accounting. It's enough to make my head spin.

I think my dream job has to be something like Google. Based on what I've heard about their work culture and everything, it sounds like it'd be an amazing place to work!
Ummm.... I did interview with them in 2005. Not an experience I care to repeat.

I might suggest you look at some conferences in Florida. I know VMware was talking about one in Tampa maybe in the past few months perhaps? I'm pretty sure Microsoft has one coming up in the next month or two in Orlando as well, and I want to say I heard there is to be a Linux-centric conference also in Orlando before years' end.
Sorry for the lack of names, just rattling off what's on the top of my head. =\
LOL. And they are bound to be SUPER cheap now!
Give us a month or so to get back to normal, please.
A Lot of places still don't have power yet.

Needed: inexpensive web hosting for home user website.
I set up a website for a friend of mine about 7 years ago.
She kept with the hosting company (IX) and now wants to move it to a different host because it's getting a little spendy. The registry on the domain is up next year, so that also will need renewal eventually. She wants to redesign it herself, I'm thinking a nice wordpress template might be up her alley. Back in the day, she used a piece of software called coffeecup.
Is there a very user-friendly hosting service out there that can include tech support for those with minimal web design experience? With support that can advise her about best practices in modern web design?
Thanks. -

I want to learn iOS programming but I don't have macbook or any mac environment to do my study. Can I do virtual on my windows? Please help thanks.
Hey there - some free(ish) MacOS developer tools can be found here: https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/mac/index.action
Back in the day, Apple offer SDK resources for free. Indeed, many iOS dev kits can also be found for free out on the internets. I'll check a few places and post what's relevant here.
