Apparently, the whole internet hates mobsync. There are threads all over about disabling it and I need to do exactly the opposite.

In a nutshell, has anyone out there turned on offline files through a command line, gpo or other automated method? I don't want to do that one button press on 200+ stations.

Look at this luldicrous Navigation Pane folder spacing in Outlook 2016. Cant be changed. 2016 Left, 2010 right. Apparently 2013 is the same as 2016. It's like a double spaced word document.

The left side is more touch friendly.

It should work flawlessly, do you have any issue?

I guess a big question is, with Nethserver is.. does it "just work" or is there a setting that needs to be selected? Not sure if this is the default behaviour or not.

Mostly this. I haven't done anything with it yet and before I invest the time, I'd like to know if it possible and/or how difficult it is, especially since a co-worker claims that it did not and he went with IIS to get the same task done (and then he sat there cursing the whole day because he doesn't like Microsoft products).

Some systems, specifically stuff with embedded controls, will continue to run XP or older for some time. A great example is a CNC station, or an MRI station. In 2011, I was working with a client that had CNC stations still running '98.

Sure, but are A+ cert newbies going to be supporting those? Not likely.

A+ newbies are the cheapest hires, usually, and a company that's still employing an XP based system is most likely to hire the least experienced, cheapest people possible.

Perhaps. But not for that role. Nothing in the A+ will prepare you for a CNC machine for example.

That's absolutely true. Similarly, none of the CompTIA courses cover HIPAA requirements.

I still dont know what those things are. Some kind of drink without coffee?

I honestly don't know if there is coffee or not.

I read that it's just a latte of some kind and has no coffee, and is less calories than a caramel macchiatto, and less sugar, too. I don't really care. I only get oatmeal from Starbucks when I'm in a rush and/or out of my usual morning granola bar.

Those are the best kind of party.

If there was a fare sale and I had the time, I'd fly down for one, especially if I had a place to sleep. Hotels can be expensive, even when you have a corporate discount.

Packed all weekend and our place looks like a disaster right now 😞

Sounds like the house when my wife starts cleaning up.

      "cleaning up"

I call it shuffling the piles of stuff around.

      Garbage Tetris

When did you see my garage?

There is an IoT thing in there somewhere, we can all see it!

I'd suggest a drinking game where we do shots every time that +scottalanmiller shows up in frame, but we all know his propensity for garages and I don't think it wise for people to get alcohol poisoning.

A certain content filtering company has blocked a vendor for one of our customers. I white-listed the domain and submitted a request to have the domain analyzed. I got an email back saying thank you we have forwarded the request for completlywrongdomain.com to the research team.

I got a little snarky in the reply that half of my company can see, a distro. Mix up tickets much? sigh...

Well at least half of the company will know not to aggravate you. 😄

I've mixed up ticket replies. They were about the same server/service, but different issues, and I had both of them open on different tabs as I fixed them at the same time. Unfortunately, my multi-tasking went sideways when I was interrupted at my desk and then the replies were typed in to the wrong spaces. 😛 Oops.

I always worry my snark might hurt the relationship with that vendor we use.. meh.

Well that vendor should pay attention and get the details right, lol. If the vendor can't handle a little snark, you need a more fun vendor.

I wonder what cats think of us removing their shit from a box, putting it into another box and then taking it somewhere. Must be a really weird experience at first.

Most people wait for the cat to finish defecating. I feel like you're probably doing something wrong in this regard.

      Wow. Just refreshed the page.

Yeah, advice fail right there 😞 I mean I get his point, but I don't agree. It's "you don't know how to do your job to a minimum level of competence, so let's just gloss over that and give bad advice since it's too hard to treat you like a professional." If I gave that same advice people would be all over me for being condescending and thinking that the OP was too "dumb" to do his job. But other people treat him like a child and it's considered normal.

You should leave spiceworks' community for a week. Don't log in there, do do anything relating to it, and see what happens.

I dont know how to do that.

Alter your DNS to point community.spiceworks.com to 127.0.0.1.

if @scottalanmiller looped back to himself i don't think he'd make it

Most of the community is already looped to SAM and I realized, after posting, that having the community set to SAM's localhost would be no change.

I think the restaurant is trolling you. That ex-meat (?) looks very moldy and appears to have begun a spore colony. Also, the one edge of that looks ragged. As I know you're a pescatarian, I have to wonder if this is part of a dorsal fin? Why was it left out in the sun? Did it get buried for 3 months?
