      #fail
What are the current steps to set up the manual web proxy in v7? I've got a neth VM with 2 nics (one internal, the other to a DMZ) and the web proxy on neth has the port open, yet all the connection attempts are failures and it's not actually handling the proxy work.

Have you reported this to the devs yet? (silly question I know, but it's all I've got for you at the moment.)

I'm posting in their forums now (had to come back here for the image URL).

Guess you'll have to drink a bunch of wine to replace all that weight you're losing.

Some ridiculous network behavior there as far as setting up trusted networks go.

      Very helpful. Thank you.

At the risk of getting flamed, I still think Spiceworks is a good solution for the very small IT department. I don't know how their development is going to continue...

It's a solid helpdesk system if it meets your data complexity needs. But the lack of active development is definitely the concern. Since their development team departed and development has always been slow, it's hard to tell if it has completely stopped, slowed or is just at the pace it always was.

So right there, they're focused on the community, not the app.

WHen do they plan to make that better then? LOL

I kid, I kid. Sort of. Not really, the community has been getting harder and harder to use for the last year. If they are focusing on it, maybe they need to stop!

Probably about the same time that they admit that having forced community accounts for spam-advertising emails just to use the app is wrong?

Plex Server: Intel NUC with 2 TB SSD installed. Curious what specific model you guys would think it worth it here.

Use Raspberry Pi. Uses a lot less power, costs less, will run Plex without breaking a sweat.

Yeah I have already purchased one to test it

Just get the USB to M2 NVM adapter or the SATA adapter and put in a 2TB drive and you are good to go.

Trying to find a mount for it. Needs to be clean and protected.

      https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=raspberry+pi&dwh=155e66aafb5e921

Check your local library; mine has free 3d printing.

Just to be clear, the plex server is in each bus?

Yes one in each bus. Eventually I will try to sync all of the hard drives together. They all end up in the same place on the same network. Just working on the demo right now though.

Should work fine as long as you enable guest mode from server settings, though all users will be able to see watch history for guest. /shrug

Set your wifi to have a capture page that directs users to the web page and then there's no need for the plex app, which would require internet access to the apple/google store.

https://syncthing.net/ should work to sync devices. You could consider a vpn config to the buses and cron the openvpn connections from each pi to be at regular intervals to account for the buses being in places without a signal.

Use the cost savings to buy a 3d printer. 😄 Make holders for the seats so people can place them on the headrest and view handsfree.

I spent much of my weekend working on my motorcycle. I fixed the problem with the tail light (yay! loose connection). Now, I'm adding some LEDs to show up on the engine under the tank, and maybe some 'greound effect' but I've run in to a problem. I need to split a single power lead out in to 4. Without doing more soldering, I don't see a product out there that can do that reliably so I'm taking a break to play some ARK.

You'll be happy to know that I got to ride through downtown Palermo on a motorcycle this week.

Were you the one in control of the motorcycle or was this more of a Roman Holiday thing where you played the part of Audrey Hepburn? Also, are you sure it was a motorcycle and not a scooter?

I was Hepburning it. And yes, it was a full size Honda.

Figuring out where the GF and I want to backpack to this weekend at Joshua Tree. Got a new pack and new sleeping back, temps in low 40's at night and I'm excited to try it out.

What pack? I have a Red Rock Outdoor Assault Pack (not for tactical but for modular reasons).

If you find yourself this way.. you should hit the Gorge

I got the Kelty Coyote 80 from REI. We usually only do one night, wouldn't consider anything more than two nights, so I didn't need anything too intensive. We opted for a square double sleeping bag because neither of us enjoy feeling like a butterfly about to emerge from a cocoon, so it fits nicely into this pack, and she carries the tent/sleeping pads.

      https://www.rei.com/product/895717/kelty-coyote-80-pack

Thats the kind of pack I'm looking into right now. I don't understand why people want camo stuff for hiking!! I want to be SEEN! More than that, I want to be able to put my stuff down and be able to still see it from 2 meters away.

It's a great pack. And yes, I want to be seen in the off-chance I get lost somehow.

Where I hike I'm also worried about other hunters. Leading cause of death in the forests here is being mistaken for a moose/deer

Do you recommend any specific tent in a 2 person size (I'm fat) that I could pack easily on my motorcycle? I'm going to do a big month-long trip and likely camp in a few KOA locations to save cash.

    • ManageEngine ADSelfService

The cert expired and every time I use their documentation (https://download.manageengine.com/products/self-service-password/adselfservice-plus-ssl-installation-guide.pdf) for installing a new one using a .cer file, it locks the tomcat or something since the pages don't load despite the port being open in nmap and the service running. Logs even state that everything started ok. It all goes sideways (ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED) after a replace the selfservice.keystore file and restart the service.

Has anyone else done a successful cert replacement when the old one goes out of date?
