      Been having some issues with the site

      It is something I'm thinking about. I thought about imaging the drive as is, but what will I end up with later?

      I have a twin t610 box I can move the app and db to and repurpose this box to AD.

      While I'm not seeing log data saying there is a drive failure, no diagnostic software is installed and nothing shows really in the event log.

      But I hear it,.. The system is slow..

      Sadly - no I haven't. While I admit I moved the box (physically) I never really paid much attention to it. The whole site is in need of a overhaul. 2 t610s a t620 and various file servers.
      No domain...

      I'm doing the best I can,.. but I'm getting there.

      In my last place of employment I discovered Untangled. Since I had a unmanaged PIX, I figured that it wouldn't hurt to install it... and it didn't hurt at all.

      The UT box ran until I left with no real issues, and found or blocked hundreds of issues. I am pretty happy with the UT software.

      Fast forward until today - I have several Sonicwall devices in my local and remote locations.. Half of which I don't have a password to. And of course support isn't exactly helpful. Nor is my predecessor..

      Trying to isolate a Port scan issue that was getting us blocked I adjusted a rule only to cause a full site issue of not being able to access the internet... Fun!

      Then I found a server issue, Uhm.. Okay how much can I do at once.

      I had started a UT build on a old PE 310 and once I ported a few updates, swapped it. Back online it was back to the server. (see other thread)

      But now I have what it seems extremely slow bandwidth. I did a speed test (office is on Time Warner Cable) and my home network is faster (2.8mbs to 2.5mbs)

      I know more about Untanlged than I do the Sonicwalls.. And I really want to replace them all. I do have one Ubiquity Lite Router for another site,.. but I am having some issue with getting it setup.

      Are Sonicwalls that 'great'?

      Are Speedtest sites really telling a 'decent' story of your ISPs line?

      So, it appears that in the course of replacing my SonicWall, I found a server about to drop it's hard drive.... GASP are.you.kidding.me?

      Just....One....146GB....10k drive? Are you kidding me??

      As if the 4 servers, and 6 desktop file share 'servers'... I have to deal with **** poor planning on someone else's part.

      Ordering 3 replacement drives for RAID support... now if I can just get this recovered before payroll is due and the damn thing crashes

      Boy do I love IT....

      You are spot on that to many people tout the 'One Page' format, there are a number of people that just can't shoe horn their career and skill set into such a limited amount of space and still have it readable.

      From the last few years of working with,... uhm,... persons otherwise employed, this is what I have learned and 'taught'.

      • Limit frilly stuff; more and more employers are using a service which scans the resume electronically. Added frills makes it impossible (or nearly so) for the document to be searchable.

      • Use a Header; If you fax (gasp) your 2 page resume to a perspective employer and they only receive one page, or worse if the fax machine dumps 30 resumes on the floor, how will your two page resume stay together.

      • Fancy Paper; Use with limitation. Don't waste your $1.50 a sheet high cotton fiber paper for mailings and cold call drop offs. Save it for the interview. And have a copy for each person in the interview (Panels are the rages these days).

      • S(kills); Many positions have a high number of applications - put your skills on page one, front and center. From my partnering with Manpower Employment services, an perspective employer is only going to give a 30-45 sec read and never get to page two, UNLESS something draws them in. Skills can kill - both ways.

      • Terms; MCSA, CCNA, CCIT, NSA, FIPS, HIPPA - Yes, all good 'generally' known terms.. however in a former job interview the terms Net+, A+, MCSA, CCNA, MCSE etc were completely lost on them. Know what the terms are (if you have it, you'd better,..).

      • One to Two Pages; If you have a two page resume,... it should be a FULL two pages. Either you don't have enough, or you have two much if you have blank space... Adjust your margins. Former co-worker had so much that she used a .25 margin on all sides, filled up two pages, and could have gone on to a third.

      • Readability; Format and font should be standardize; 10point font is the absolute smallest you should use.

      AJ- you tout your Android's etc. but I know for a fact you recently had to do a factory reset on your phone cause of issues with it. Wanna know how many times I have had to do that across the last 3 Iphones I have had? Not even once. I have only had to shut them down and restart due to updates etc. once or twice total. Weather you like IOS or not is a personal opinion there is no fact there. Each phone has it's own unique things that it can/can't do but it comes down to what you like working on.

      I agree completely with @Minion-Queen, my wife's iPhone 4 has been having the issue of the screen not being 'locked' while on a call. So it mutes, dials, hangs up on her while she has it to her ear. Mine has an issue with the Bluetooth, in that the headset can be within two feet of the phone and it will drop / connect repeatedly. Every device has it's own 'personality'....

      We are holding off until the 6 comes out and going to the 5 since it should be 'free' with plan. We are still under the grand-fathered AT&T Unlimited plan on data, we don't want to give that up. Not to mention all the APPs we have for the iOS. I have thought about going to Andriod - there are some things that the iOS devices can't do (mSD card for one).

      Over all - since the iPhone 3, I've had pretty decent luck with it. Of course I get an Otter box and a screen cover for it right off to protect it. I don't think I have ever broken a screen - though sometimes I've thought about throwing it into the river a time or two.

      I agree; I have Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and another I can't remember, in the office I have Onedrive and another Dropbox... I also carry 6 different USB drives - although three of them were to replace the other three, and I've since plan to reduce even more with a multi-boot USB.

      Although the REALLY BIG feature is that all data is stored only in the EU, not in the US. That's a big feature that I am surprised that they don't advertise more clearly.

      Uhm - yea,.. that would be a big issue to disclose.. the US market could easily be cut off if someone barked loud enough. While it was a "SPICEWORKS" promo.. think I too will be passing.

      So - Spiceworks just popped an email in my box about Tresorit - and I'm wondering - do I really need MORE cloud storage? Is it REALLY better?

      Of course - like so many things (Ford, Dodge, Jeep, Chevy) It's an opinion thing...

      I have the option to set up openVPN to all the offices and cover 95% of the staff. I have a few that are not in office workers,.. and while several are mobile, they generally work from one of the offices we have... so they would be covered.

      Seeing a recent thread here about Pertino - I wonder how it is a better fit for my Non Profit office.
      While there is still much to do to bring us up to date (domain, Office 365 deployment, Phone, etc), what is everyone's opinion on which to use.

      Uhm yea - about that,...We have a onsite Nortel NorStar system at the main office,.. but I'm pretty sure it is otherwise POTS.... as it 90% of all of our remote sites. It was this way when I started last year - but I fully plan to move us into the modern world...

      I'm curious about it - but i don't have a PBX to plug it into... I have users in 9 counties and we are expanding one of our current offices... so this could be a really nice option to go with. Just wonder how it would fit..

      Getting it set back up, I see that the 'extra folder' is STILL there.. dang it. Guess it's in my outlook.office365.com settings..

      Work around-
      I set my account back to the main .onmicrosoft.com account, and it seemed to pull the needed server data. Since we haven't cut over this is still the default

      Guess it wasn't bright enough to figure it out.

      @Carnival-Boy - I debated the On-Premise setup for a bit,.. but as a No Profit Organization, we get the bulk of our email services for free. I only pay for 30 accounts as opposed to the 150 I have. And in the future, we will be taking over another one of our domains, so that will total us at 300 accounts.

      Not to mentions, we cover 9 counties, over 150 different locations with those 300 people. I'm only one person, and can only accomplish so much. For the time, cost, configuration, and aggravation - O365 seemed the best route to go.

      So,..User decides that his Outlook is a little cluttered, goes into mail and deletes his profile thinking he'll just re-connect his mail accounts. He has two iMAP accounts and our new O365 account configured.. Doesn't take much to reconnect the two iMAP accounts,.. but the O365,.. well that is a slightly different story..

      Auto Account linking isn't finding the profile, and the docs say, In O365 OWA, click the "?" then ABOUT - only there is no ABOUT... to find the mail server,..

      Uhm... Ok,..I'll admit it,..Very much a PEBKAC error..(Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair)... And it's my chair.. (rolls eyes)

      Suggestions on the proper connection (feels like a N00B)
