I may have to check them out. I want sides,.. but I have a table saw and some ideas,..so easy enough to make my own. Forced air with filter also... getting tired of the down time to bring in the air compressor.

True and good point. Stereo isn't needed. But several YouTube videos I've watched have had the presenter in mono (right ear) but the Channel Spot or Ad in Stereo...

Make sure you also due audio equalization.

      For portable Power solutions check:

      http://www.portableuniversalpower.com/

The BatPac series (http://www.portableuniversalpower.com/batpac-mk1-2/) is my design. As a Ham operator, I've used both the 7v and 12v batteries for portable power - the BatPac is a nice clean way to protect and have connectors on the batteries.

    • RE: Building a Presentation Filming Rig

I don't know specific equipment or software but I do know that there are some things you want to have or at least consider.

Wireless mic - Nothing worse that to be watching a video of a 'high level named person' and not be able to hear them since they are 20 feet from the camera (and mic).

Make sure you have spare batteries - if are using equipment using AA or AAA batteries, have spares...Rechargeable are great,.. but spares and a way to charge them. If you have to be in the field with no power available (it could happen) a portable battery system could use useful.

Audio - If you wireless mic or camera mic is mono - dub the track to the other channel so that when it's played back in headphones you can hear it. again,.. i've seen many a video that only has one audio channel and it's difficult to hear... and then they throw in the stereo title segment.. To me, not cool

What is this thing called STEAM - other than what generally escapes from my ears...

I am not familiar with the term AIO Tech. I Googled it but didn't find anything.

Self coined term. AIO (All In One) Tech.. Not really a term.. or did I just create it...?

      You don't have AD?

,..... Uhm,.. Nope. and yes. Organization has two OU (of sorts). The main office is a (crap shoot) Workgroup. The other does have AD in a Server 2k3 with Exchange...
Thus some of my recent (history) posts.

      @Carnival-Boy
Capacity issue? The link worked for me last night (though I didn't get to actually view it), and just now.

I'll admit - It's something I should learn... When I put the new server online adding 150 users quickly will be nice. Though I suppose that since I already have them in O365, all I will (should in theory) need to do is install the AD<>O365 connector and be done.

However, our 2k3 server is still separate, and I just added 12 people with COPY. Would have been nicer/faster with PS - if I knew it.

Chances are, at Li-Ion failure, would soften the case enough to bend. But also with failure, you likely to see the screen pop off and other things...

    • RE: Winbook Tw801 - Maybe The Best "Cheap" Windows Tablet?

      Winbook vs Apple Gen 1-current.

One thing the Winbook has - wait it has more than one thing going for it that Apple doesn't.

      Price:

I got my wife the iPad 4 with Retina display - biggest one they had - close to $800. The Winbook is much much cheaper.

      Options:

The iPad has the lightning data connector and ear phone jack. There is no way to add (INTERNALLY) storage space.

Winbook has that option, not to mention an mini HDMI connect. I feel you can 'do more' with it.

I am not sure I should be chiming in here,.. since I feel that I'm in the latter stages of the twilight part of my IT career... As much as I am still interested in Tech and IT,.. With all that has happened over the last 10-5 years so much of it is beyond me.

As a sole IT tech in a Non Profit operation, I could see options in Firewall, VPN, Mesh network, Wi-Fi, digital security and such; but on a level that a AIO Tech could comprehend...

Not sure if it will qualify since the 'tool' is a website generated installer.

Click to create an installer/updater that skips all the <next> and toolbar and extra stuff on programs.
