My favorite cereal now is plain Cheerios with honey drizzled over the top and touch of honey almond milk. HEAVEN!

RE: Windows 10posted in IT Discussion
I'm going to try Windows 10 on the new Lenovo. Ugh with the problems I'm having with this thing. I'd be so upset if I hadn't gotten it free!

We are having problems, so I'm going to try Windows 10 now.

@DonutDetroyer In order to do a fresh install, we had to wipe all of the drive partitions (like 5 or 6 existed) and reformat the drive.

@ajstringham Umm yeah, you guys were saying the exact same thing, I'm not sure why @scottalanmiller was still arguing?

RE: Reinstall Windows on Lenovo Yoga 2 Proposted in IT Discussion
We had to blow EVERY partition away, and after the installation finished, the very first thing I did was test Mango Lassi, and guess what? It works now. Off to install windows updates.

@ajstringham Well, I also read that the ones on the website didn't work, so how do I confirm that they do work now before FUBAR'ing this machine?

@g.jacobse It's okay, hun. Our teachers lied to all of us, it's not you, it's the American education system.

I just found a thread talking about how if you do a clean install and don't have all the Lenovo drivers for this machine, you are screwed.

Think of Christopher Columbus and discovery of the New World.. Where would we Americans be had he not ventured into the unknown and the dangerous waters of monsters and myth.
You did NOT just go there with Christopher Columbus. SMH, didn't you read the Christopher Columbus thread from the other day? Check out the real story.

I love that she mentions the Cornell food study in this article. One of Scott and my first dates was attending a talk at Cornell given by a professor there who was working with NASA to figure out what would be the best foods to take on a Mars mission, and he talked about the "food fatigue" that the commander mentions. NASA, Cornell, and Disney's hydroponic labs at Epcot have been working on this for years.
I'm impressed that they chose a 34 year old to be the commander of the mission, because that is a high position, but I would imagine that they are thinking towards the future, and you simply HAVE to have young men and women on this mission due to the amount of time.

Wow. I can't blame whoever told him that he could download RAM. The temptation to take advantage of that kind of stupid is too damn high.

It also does not recognize when I've already visited a thread.

What's your favorite childhood cereal?
I'll go first - mine is Fruity Pebbles. Fruity Pebbles are the BEST!

New Lenovo laptop won't allow posting to Mango Lassiposted in IT Discussion
So I have my new Yoga 2 Pro from Lenovo, and I'm trying to post to Mango Lassi from it, but it won't post. It doesn't load the preview window, and when I hit "submit" nothing happens. I have tried Chrome, Firefox and IE, and the same behaviour is exhibited across all browsers. It looks like the ajax call-backs are failing.
The laptop is running Windows 8.1 Home (disappointing) and of course it came with a bunch of stuff installed on it. It's hard to tell what to delete, since there are like 15 things that start with "Lenovo". It had McAfee Livesafe - Internet Security on it, and we uninstalled it. Also uninstalled McAfee Central, and Scott is currently uninstalling a bunch of apps from the Start screen.
Ideas?

After Liesl was born, since we didn't find out if she was a girl or a boy while we were pregnant, my mom sewed on a little pink bow between the ears.

@thecreativeone91 I agree with you on this one, and I think that it's much more likely that the problem is a defective batch of equipment and not user error. Either one could explain the situation, and the fact that they are jumping to blaming you is a bunch of crap.
