Just curious. Why "Bodyguard"? I haven't seen much fighting at Spiceworld.

Does that work on Kindle devices? I don't believe that it does.
PDF works natively on both, no extra software needed.

RE: How to Lose Customers with Excessive Security
I can't tell you how many stupid articles I read on InfoWorld. I've since stopped. While I understand where this guy is coming from, this article is just plain stupid. Comments like:
"My browser's save-password feature helped me log in until the next password change"- You're an idiot. All someone needs to do is access your local PC and boom, Daddy has a new [insert want here].
"In my former bank's case, it uses second-factor authentication (texts, emails, or calls) when you change your password or use a new device to access your account."- Really, is that so difficult.

RE: ESXI-backup bug
This actually has been discussed quite a bit in forums over the last few weeks. And the bug, expanding the virtual disk and CBT affects more than embedded systems. Started, I think, on Reddit, then discussed by Veeam, noticed on The Register, and brought over to SW.

RE: Very Noisy PS3
I'd ride it out. I have dismantled my old PS3 (fat) about 5 times and seen the video of the slim and taking it apart is not a big deal. The fan, if I remember is easily disconnected. I'm sure there are off-market replacement parts you can get a new fan.

That's pretty cool. At that price we could see smart TV's with windows on them (actually I'm surprised we haven't yet).
I am sure that we will very soon. It is only incredibly recent that Microsoft made Windows free for these devices. There has not been time to get devices to market based on that yet.
Gonna hate having to reboot my TV

QA=Quality Assurance
I still can't believe how much you slag off your employer on a public forum (and on your blog). I think it's only a matter of time before you get caught and fired.
No matter how many times he is told, he still keeps doing it. Something is seriously wrong here.

You're a tall dude too.
My point exactly since I was trying to be subtle.

You brave soul. I've heard 2014 is getting good reviews and that the company is sort of splitting, but you know you'll be doing a bit of damage control. Good luck!

RE: Microsoft Project Server
I worked on Project Server 2007. If you are doing simple Gantt sharing like uploading multiple project for tasks, milestones, and dependencies, it did an okay job. Obviously, this was a much older version. However, integration with Outlook for entering tasks was cludgy. It also, at least in my opinion didn't go far enough for the company I worked for so I built them a Production Tracking System from the ground up with IronSpeed and SQL Server.
My system didn't do the project Gantt projections. That was done by the PMs, but all the work, tasks done, time, and other stuff was put in my system. I then used SSRS and created custom reports. It was nice for Executives and PMs to run a report and get up-to-date info on labor/task overages as well as cost under and overruns. Project Server didn't have those capabilities at all.
Lastly, I did waste a bit of time learning PS technical stuff. It just didn't give the full picture. A modern ERP system would provide that. Project would good for the micro stuff and the ERP for the macro overview.
Those are my 2 pennies.
Edit: the new version looks much more robust though.
