I could do without things like the past weekend. Emergency appendectomy isn't ever on the to do list.
Ugh. Been there done that.... Sorry to hear you went through it.

This was specifically a "show con", anime in this case.
I don't get these at all. They really don't seem like much fun to me.
On the other hand, PAX, GenCon, and Origins are a ton of fun. Can't wait till I have the time to go to one again.

PEX is a biatch to work with though
Haha no. Compared to copper PEX is so easy. I've done soldering I'll stick with compress or crimping anyday.

@hobbit666 Yeah I just got their smartwatch too. Its the GT. I love it. Just a small computer on your wrist. I was hesitant for a long time but finally I thought what the heck and tried it. I really like this thing. It has like 10 different watch faces you can choose from with different information on them so you can choose what you care about. It has a lot of built in software I havent even explored all of it. The other night I was cooking rice and needed a timer so remembered it had one and when I opened it it had presets for 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, and 30 min. I chose one and off I went. Dont have to listen for the timer anymore because it just vibrates on my wrist now. I guess what I'm saying is everything they just seems well thought out.
I think I'm going to pick up a GT2.

Currently trying to find a gaming PC for $1200 or less (I will probably go over a little). I'm not a gamer so a little out of my depth.
Based on my past readings through old posts here to get a sense of what is out there, just wondering what order the money should be spent, 1. CPU, 2. GPU, 3. RAM, 4 SSD or SATA or should it be 1. GPU, 2 CPU, 3 SSD, 4 RAM?
When spec'ing a new desktop what do you look at first to spend your money?
Great question, Iām in the same boat right now.
Where does the mobile sit in here? And cooling?Good point. I see liquid cooling and then trying to envision gaming on a laptop. Ugh, burning jewels is not a good thing. There are cooling pads out there as I recently discovered. My current laptop gets a little to warm with current WFM software and all the other things I am running.
Are you looking to build or buy? PCPartPicker has some decent "pre-built" options available that you'd just have to source the parts for.

https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/RPTwrH/great-amd-gaming-buildThanks @coliver I was looking to buy instead of build. Nephew's in TX. He may need support down there too so I figured Dell or Asus if I can find a good build for decent price. I am even looking at the outlets too. If there are warranties, I will take one off ebay also.
In that case I'd look at Asus RoG kit. It's very high quality and actually fairly inexpensive for what you'd get (not cheap but decent). https://store.asus.com/us/item/202003AM280000010/A50159-ROG-Strix-GA15DH-Gaming-Desktop-PC
Excellent. Thank you.
The nice thing is that, in the future, if you want to upgrade it piece-meal you have that opportunity. That particular one starts at 8GB of RAM, but you can easily thrown 16 or 32 in there without any issues.

@siringo... Ping!
Just checking in to make sure you're ok.Things seem to be a bit crap over your way.
Hey, how are you going. Things are turning upside down over here.
My wife and I live 4 hours out of Melbourne so we're free and easy, just can't leave the state nor visit the capital.
I'll tell you what the world is going to be like this until a vaccine is found, so this could be going on for a few more years.
The Premier said yesterday that one problem they have is getting enough people to do the tracing work that is required. It spreads so fast that they run out of manpower.
It must be a nightmare in places with a greater population.Don't say that man - Next year is my 20 year wedding anniversary - and we planned a two week vacation to Aussieland!
It's a big place. Plenty of places to pick.
Nope. https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/article244059902.html
and? Nothing unusual...
I reckon the USA is scarier, you guys have bears. You can't outrun, out climb, out muscle those things.
Bears stay in the mountains. Spiders are jerks (see: https://www.facebook.com/uniladmag/videos/4375225242500501/). Snakes don't give a fuck, and they bite the Uber.
Nope.
I'm in Upstate NY. Bears are a pretty common sight around here. Unless you get near their food or cubs they don't really care that you're there. If you make a very sudden very loud noise they generally book it. Although I wouldn't want to be between a mother and her cubs...

I'll need atleast 3 AP's one per floor (basement, Main, and Upstairs).
How big is the house. This is almsot certainly overkill.
1216 Sq Ft.
My house is almost 3x that size. I only have two APs.

No issues then ?
Nope, I would also, definitely, go with Amplifi in a green field like this. Worth every penny.

Linux is number one in laptops
Where are you getting your statistics from?
That doesn't include servers and completely ignores Android. You're proving @scottalanmiller's point here. You have to specify a specific market that Windows is a leader in, specifically PC/Laptop. On the whole of the industry Android/Linux is the leader.

If you read what I quoted, i responded to a very specific piece of what he wrote...
Then I linked some stats to show that specific text of his I quoted was wrong, and then asked where he got his info, because I can't find anything to show otherwise of that specific thing I quoted.
Pay attention. Context matters. The quotes help with that.
Yep, you're right missed the quote.
Wall mount or under mount computers are becoming a big trend. Not surprised one of the manufacturers are getting into it.

Are you looking at our production system?
