Watching the Lethal Weapon television show.
I thought I was going to hate it when they killed of Riggs. I actually like Sean William Scott better.
I love Sean William Scott, but haven't gotten that far yet.
Stifler?
That's the one.
I'm really surprised he wasn't a bigger deal. He and Ryan Reynolds were basically the same person back in the day.

potatoes rather than better proven and studied alternatives like sweet potatoes
There is actual very little evidence that sweet potatoes are better the white potatoes. It depends on the individual, their dietary needs, how well they process sugar and carbs etc.
The reality is we often associate white potatoes with fried food and sweet potatoes with grilled or baked. If we cooked them in the same fashion they'd have similar dietary effects. https://universityhealthnews.com/daily/nutrition/sweet-potatoes-vs-potatoes/
@Dashrender Those symptoms sound like Vitamin D deficiency. I had a family member who went through that and it sounds very similar. As @Emad-R kind of diagnosed at the end of his post.

Probably a Cisco phone system... it seems to be what every Government agency I've seen uses.

But there is in no way the general expectation that a Type 1 hypervisor is and should also be capable of being a daily driver.
This is where you go off the rails. Since this is common and everyone knows that this is a normal expectation, why would you state something that you know can't be true?
People need desktop virtualization all of the time. And in the modern market, there is essentially no reason to ever look at the only good Type 2, VirtualBox, because it is not nearly as good as Hyper-V or KVM. It's not as fast, or not as safe, and certainly not as easy.
The only reason anyone still considers Type 2 is because some people want Windows Home, and there is no Type 1 option.
I can see for Gamers who also need to do some VMs they may not want the Hyper-V overhead and would aim for type 2.... I hae no idea how much overhead Hyper-V actually introduces though.
I thought that at one point, but it is essentially zero. Gaming is fine with it.
So you run games in a guest VM?
With Hyper-V and Windows 10, your Windows 10 installation becomes the management domain for Hyper-V.
So no, it's not a VM.
It's a VM.

@wrx7m just curious, to you, what sets the WRX STI apart from the rest of the cars in that price range? It seems like a nice car, but I've not owned one like that.
Driving a WRX is seriously one of the most fun things I've done. It's got an amazing amount of power for the price. And handling under acceleration is just awesome. It's a ton of fun to ride along with someone racing one too.

Yeah, what the others have said. It is a car for people who like driving. It is also very reliable and very customizable. There are tons of aftermarket products and support for it. You can add some exhaust and intake bolt on parts and get an ECU tune by a pro and easyily get 30% more HP and torque without affecting reliability. My current car has 350ish HP/Torque to the wheels and I am almost to 143K miles and it is 12 years old.
Subarus are also stupid reliable. Most of my friends who are Subaru fanatics have vehicles that are well in to the 300K mile range and still going with very little maintenance outside of an oil/fluid change.

just sitting around looking groovy when my phone beeps at me. a work associate added me as a friend on snapchat. don't know how he found me. then I looked at snapchat and it was asking me if I wanted to add my daughters friends as friends.
snapchat account deleted and app gone.
what can i use to communicate with my geographically dispersed kids that won't try to spread my contacts across the globe?
is telegram 'safe'? never used it, don't know much about it.
Check out Riot.im too. Opensource, decentralized, chat service. I use it for some things, trying to get my family to move to it from Hangouts, and I really like it.

Meh, I have multiple versions of Catan. It's ok, it plays well enough... but honestly we're kind of in this board game renaissance there are so many better options to spend time playing that I have a hard time dragging Catan out.

It's so popular still that getting the base game, all expansions, plus the 6 player upgrade is crazy expensive. It's a good game, but stick with base+cities and knights imo.
It's the gateway game. It's one of the first games people are introduced to, and a lot of people just stop there.

Turns out it is Excel locking up when opening massive xlsx files. She already has 64 bit Office and 32GB of RAM (maxing out her laptop). I can't solve that without buying another system that supports more RAM. I suggested trying to use a smaller data set when creating these files.
Time to move to a database....

Anti-vax parents sue to keep unvaccinated kids in school during outbreak
County fiercely defends restrictions amid measles outbreak that has sickened 145.
As New York’s Rockland County grapples with a large and lengthy outbreak of measles, a group of anti-vaccine parents sued officials for temporarily barring their unvaccinated children from school—and the county is not having it.
So... If most of the kids in school are already vaccinated... Why is there public outrcy over unvaxxed kids coming to school? Just curious...
[Full Disclosure: I am not an anti-vaxxer!]
Herd Immunity. Even if most kids are vaccinated there is a small chance the vaccinations didn't work, a child is allergic to one of the ingredients in the vaccine, or for whatever medical reason the child can't get a vaccine (which is more common then people think, although still not that common). In general herd immunity requires about a 90-95% vaccination rate (this is disease dependant polio for instance is like 80-85%), which means everyone who is able to immunize really needs to get the vaccine.

Some friends got us into GuildWars 2. It's no WoW, but it is kinda fun.
GW1 sucked.. I never wanted to try GW2.
Ugh. YES. What I saw of the story was okay, but the gameplay was awful. GW2 is actually a bit better and plays more like is expected of an MMO while still being enough of a challenge.
I have a friend that thought GW1 was the best ever..
You keep strange friends.
I enjoyed GW1. It did something unique to the MMO landscape during its time. GW2 though was by far the better game, more options, better story, and a significantly improved player experience.
