I don't use the desktop version of ubuntu but I do use their server version which I do like. I've heard this version has a newer version of unity, could be worth a look.

RE: Profile of an Unethical MSPposted in IT Discussion
The thread started off well anyway, cant understand why people are still seeing no need to Virtualize....it's 2016, there are free hypervisors to choose from, this shouldn't really be asked anymore.

RE: Installing Zimbra Email 8.6 on CentOS 7posted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller - all installed, had to open port for admin panel and had to install systat as a prereq, very impressed with the built in features. do you know if opensource edition has a limit on domains?

RE: Windows Server 2016 Pricingposted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller I can understand the pricing may be a little dated, they should of just increased the cost per socket a little more rather then implementing core based licencing. Oh well I wont rant too much about it, after all its the weekend

They will be adding licences per NIC's next lol.....Don't agree with this per core licencing model, shitty move by Microsoft I think....

RE: Install Zentyal 4.2 on Scale HC3posted in IT Discussion
@scottalanmiller You never know, perhaps you could drive it?
- I have tried most features out and the samba shares are nice and easy to get configured. The only thing that didn't seem as stable was the mail side of things, I suppose that don't matter as most would be using 365 or Google Apps (or G office or whatever it's called now lol) anyway. -

I have used Zentyal and had a great interest in watching over the community and seeing how it was progressing, but I did notice the community is pretty dead.

RE: Favorite Linux Distroposted in IT Discussion
I know a CentOs is highly recommended for server stuff but I personally use the Ubuntu server edition and am happy with it, I do prefer Debian based distro's though.
