RE: Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect

@Ylian
Agent is working and connected, can access desktop and files on machine. Perhaps Its just my machine. I'll try reinstalling agent at some point to see if it changes anything. -
RE: Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect
Anyone having issues with time online? My agent is online and working but the machine uptime is not displaying correct?

RE: Managing Windows Local Users with PowerShell
the only bonus, you do get tab completion is powershell...mainly because you need it for the long ass commands lol
-
RE: Managing Windows Local Users with PowerShell
even the net user command looks cleaner:
"net localgroup administrators username /add"
But yep, powershell is the future and that is now defunct....

RE: Managing Windows Local Users with PowerShell
@WrCombs In regards to adding users on Linux..not adding Windows users.

RE: Managing Windows Local Users with PowerShell

@scottalanmiller gotcha, I don't think a roadmap has been posted has there?

RE: Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect
The update streams are not separated are they? I think we need stable releases and then manual to latest release, I don't believe this is the case at the minute?

RE: Miscellaneous Tech News
To add to what Jared said, these are the main differences from wikipedia:
*The following features of Google Chrome are not present in a default Chromium build. But some of these items can be enabled or manually added to a Chromium build, which is what many Linux distributions do.[7]
Auto-update capability
Integrated Adobe Flash Player
API keys for some Google services
The Widevine digital rights management module
Licensed codecs for the popular H.264 video and AAC audio formats
Tracking mechanisms for usage and crash reportsThe other differences are branding and licensing. While Chrome has the same user interface functionality as Chromium, it changes the color scheme to the Google-branded one. Chrome is also not open-source, so its binaries are licensed as freeware under the Google Chrome Terms of Service.[8]*

RE: What does your desk look like?
@JaredBusch I like how you have your monitor positioned when using the treadmill, makes exercise less boring.

RE: What Are You Doing Right Now
@scottalanmiller I manage windows ones, never tried a Linux hosted desktop though, do you use nextcloud for file shares? Or do you mount a file share on a separate VM? I take it you create VM's manually and have no provision management for your VDI Infrastructure.

RE: Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect
@pmoncho I believe he probably wants the agent installed, but wants the user to be notified and then asked for permission to allow connection.
