RE: Why I Feel KVM Is the Easiest HyperVisor to Learn the Basics On
Yep don't see any issue with using XO..it has a clean interface.
even installing XO after XCP-NG is quicker than setting up Hyper-V outside of a domain. -

Speaking of Yubi-key - have you heard of SQRL? https://www.grc.com/sqrl/sqrl.htm
They have an API now that's supposed to make it a lot easier to implement into webservers.I still struggle to trust any website that looks like SW's Curtis made it.

RE: Comparing MeshCentral 2 to ScreenConnect
Completely craziness, don't let people pass credentials through URL like that, others will use it and moan when they get compromised..
Defiantly a put your foot down moment.. -
RE: Building a Mail Server
I like the features you get with Zimbra, like shared mailboxes, calendars etc. A feature comparison would be good between Zimbra and Mailcow.

RE: dbeato why are you migrating from Hyper-V to XCP-ng
They have done great with it though, full praise to them for starting that project.

RE: Needs suggestion on email server/ control panel for Ubuntu to run erp, web n emails.
I'm with Scott on this, but if you are looking for a free hosting control panel check out ISPconfig. I use this myself.

RE: Managing Windows Local Users with PowerShell
so ugly compared to using bash in linux...I just hate the way powershell syntax is.

RE: Managing Windows Local Users with PowerShell
@WrCombs In regards to adding users on Linux..not adding Windows users.

RE: SSH tunneling/gateway question
using ssh to tunnel rdp is quite handy as well.

RE: Reconsidering ProxMox
I've been using proxmox for over a year now. I have read past threads and understand some of issues were not good but, the product itself is good. I wasn't too happy what happend with xencenter and it pretty much pushed everyone to use xcp-ng. Companies can be arses at times. look at some of shit Microsoft has pulled in the past.

@jmoore I just got to the point I didn't want to touch my computer anymore. I have suffered some health issues that I thought might of affected my interest but, I don't think it was just that. Linux is just working how I would expect an OS to work and has give me a bit more interest again. Even BASH command line makes more sense.
The windows team have halved asked trying to remove the control panel and still not changed all the way over to the new settings screen yet, more clicks are now needed to change the network adaptor..I could just go on how unproductive it is. No mater how much you try and snooze on an update it will eventually restart, and I like leaving certain screens open, like my cameras for example. Anyway I won't keep ranting about that..I've been running Linux based servers now for a while, I'm just glad I put the effort into learning a while back. It's now my main desktopTo me, Linux is just more fun. I also enjoy learning different flavors too.
Completely agree, so much customisation you can do as well.

RE: Proxmox or vanilla KVM
@brandon220 To be fair the worlds your oyster, Hypervisor is just a Hypervisor. Use whatever you are comfortable with. I personally use Proxmox, but I also like XCP-NG.
