Small Business Week Deals!
Hey all!
Because we love small businesses, we wanted to extend a deal to our SMB friends. We're offering an extra 20% off on our half-rack and lower services!
1U starting at $60, 2U at $79, quarter-rack at $319, and a half-rack at $559.
The offer is only for our Los Angeles DC5, home of the NTG Lab!
Also, the offer ends when Small Business Week does...so, like Saturday.
Check it out here! https://www.colocationamerica.com/colocation/small-business-week-deals

I am still unknown too. Still working it on the boss.
Just schedule some time after hours to work your sexy magic on the boss....
Don't think he would quite appreciate that too much...
You won't know until you try.

What's your Halloween costume?
Are you dressing up this year?
Here's a pic of me and my GF at her Halloween party. She's one half of the evil twins from The Shining (her roommate was the other half), and I'm a 30 year old in a lion onesie:

I talked to a couple of the Colocation America employees at MangoCon. They are pretty much across the street from Google.
I'M LOOKING IN THEIR WINDOW RIGHT NOW.

"...there will be a time for it to be our focus, but right now it's part of the family but it's not the core of where I hope to generate developer interest over the next year"
They really kinda hurt themselves by not aggressively going after app developers early on, and they got the reputation of "not having apps" on their platform.
They did go after developers, but they had nothing to offer them. Not having apps was bad, being loaded with scam apps and promoting them as the real apps and no usable app store, those were the killers that I saw. That and pointless or negative features being touted and nothing of value to users.

RE: Random Thread - Anything Goes
Have I ever mentioned my love of conspiracy theories? I do. I love them. I don't believe in any of them though, but my god they are fun to read.
Came across this last night--The Biblioteca Pleyades. An "encyclopedia" of most major conspiracy theories including alien contact with our government (Majestic 12, Project Serpo, etc), shadow governments (Illuminati, Lizards, Pleaideans, etc).
Have fun in that rabbit hole.

MSP charged with extortion
I mean, technically the Chamber of Commerce WAS breaching the contract. Is he right to shut off services? Does he come off a little vengeful? Is EXTORTION the right crime? Is this too many questions?

No I haven't. And my first thought would be - ah no. But looking at the ingredients - maybe. I don't like artificial sweeteners... and honestly - they don't like me either.
You don't like artificial sweeteners but you drink Mountain Dew?
They have it with natural sugar!
True, but when you're downing 40+ grams of sugar, the artificial vs. natural debate kinda goes out the window, especially in a discussion of weight loss.

cPanel Stops Hacking Attempt
Just saw this pop-up:

Good on cPanel for addressing it and going that extra mile to encrypt and salt their databases with sensitive info.
