I guess what I mean is ... Office 365 Business Essentials looks similar to what I have, except it also has online versions of Office, and 1TB of ODfB. For $1 a month more.

RE: Add Office 365 To Exchange Online?
What is the difference between the Small Business Suite and the Enterprise? For some reason i thought you could not mix and match.
I also seem to remember going with the Exchange Online because the "Small Business" couldn't support the hybrid type of setup I currently have.

So I started out with 1 license for :
Exchange Online Plan 1What does that mean, exactly?

RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
I contacted xByte to see if they would have any interest in swapping out my H310 for a H710.
If not, it's a sub $200 loss.

Add Office 365 To Exchange Online?
I have Exchange Online (the $4/month) on a few domains.
Can you add Office 365 (Office apps and ODfB) to select users?
What is the best way to have, say, 10 e-mail accounts, but only give the full Office package to a few select users?
Also, I am thinking of migrating my on-premise 3rd party Exchange-like server (MDaemon) to Exchange Online. Should I start another thread for that discussion? Or since I might also be looking for Office365 should I include it here?

I see that too. You can't always trust it.
I trust everything on this site. Even the unread page.

RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
So it sounds like my options are...
(I only have the H310 in hand)
- keep the H310, and get 10K SAS DELL drives
- buy a H710, throw the H310 away (or maybe eBay), and go with the EDGE SSDs
WWSD?

Except there is no appreciable wear and tear from writes with spinning rust.
Is it proven (questioning the theory, not you) that is really a concern with SSDs? Especially server grade SSDs?

RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
Wouldn't it have the same issue with "spinning rust" as you guys call it?

Defeats the point of SSDs quite a bit, though, and increases wear and tear on them dramatically.
Why is that?
-
RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
Well, since I'm not running any crazy apps and the thing and will have SSDs, maybe it'll be OK for me.

Or do you mean the H310 being worthy?
I mean the H310 being worthy.
In that for my usage I can keep it instead of moving to the T710.

It is a slow evening around ML.
When the "unread" page sits for a few minutes with no activity, you know it is slow.

RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
OK.
I won't see it again until Monday. Let me know what you want me to do, and I'll do it.
Maybe it'll prove itself worthy and I won't have to upgrade.

RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
It's in my new server that is currently sitting dormant, awaiting the release of Server 2016.

RE: Examining the Dell PERC H310 Controller
I have one of these. Do you want me to run some tests?
Also, should I get rid of this and get the next model up? Going to do 3 Edge SSDs on it in a RAID 5 config.
