HP DL380P Gen8: Are there internal SATA connections?

I am looking at this HP server for a client. My vendor hasn't found me anything useful, but is still looking for documentation for me.
The client is going the Server 2012 R2 + Hyper-V route. Since I cannot install that on the internal SD/USB, I was thinking any standard SATA (or SSD) internally would be a good solution. The problem is I cannot find ANY documentation stating if there is anything available.
If I cannot use a drive internally, then that will require me to carve out space on the RAID10 (or add a single RAID0 drive or pair in RAID1) for the core OS which I really would prefer not to do.

I don't believe that there are. There are no internal drive mounts though. Where do you want to put the drives?

That is why I asked. If there were, there was always the possibility of a single internal mount point for a SFF or something.
I just really do not like having to use part of my RAID10 for the Server 2012 R2 Core + Hyper-V

Is the reason that you can't install to USB or SD because they want the full Server 2012 management VM rather than just HyperV?

It is not supported and I have not seen anything official to the contrary. I know people have done it, but I won't.

Microsoft recommends it over on Spiceworks. It's the industry standard for hypervisers. Microsoft officially supports it when HP and Dell ship it. And Microsoft recommends it otherwise as well.

A SpiceWorks GG is not official support.
I know what the standards should be for Hypervisors, but that does not make it any more supported.
Yes, I only install my VMWare servers on SD or USB.
Great that HP and Dell can ship it. but it doesn't help when it is not readily available, see screenshot form HP website.
If Microsoft recommends it, then they can provide actual supported documentation to do it. Otherwise no, it is not truly a supported deployment method. -
Well technically a supported method would be any that they don't deny support for. Their official representative says that it's the recommended method. That's more official than most things. That they don't provide documentation on how to do it (they used to, where did it go?) isn't telling as to supported or not.

Well I think that you are stuck giving up a RAID 1 pair out of your main array then. I don't believe that there are any internal SAS or SATA ports or any mounting points for drives inside of the DL380 or DL385 chassis.

I'm sure you've probably tried, but is there any chance of talking them into going with ESXi instead?

@alexntg Unfortunately, no. With this client I am lucky to even be involved in the hardware purchasing. Our main role there is software development. I keep carefully trying to get this work from the company that does it, but you know how that works.
