Xen Orchestra on Ubuntu 15.10 - Complete installation instructions
-
 See this thread where @olivier is already looking into a possible dependency issue with babel-runtime.
-
 Also just read this issue over on Github.

 @xogurunoob said in Xen Orchestra on Ubuntu 15.10 - Complete installation instructions: installer is no longer working https://github.com/scottalanmiller/xenorchestra_installer/issues/3 I'm confused as to what you're attempting to install to here. Xen Orchestra doesn't get installed to XenServer. It gets installed to a Debian/Ubuntu Virtual Machine running on you XenServer host or pool. Can you clarify what you're attempting to do? Edit: Also I don't see any 'ERR' only 'WARN' which should still work. What version of NPM is installed on this host?

 @DustinB3403
 I meant xenserver7 because that is the hypervisor(xen)
 yes i did install on a fresh install of debian jessie 8.4

 yes i did install on a fresh install of debian jessie 8.4I'm confused even more. XenServer 7 is a distro, not the hypervisor. Xen 4.4 is the hypervisor. You are just doing Xen on Debian? XO will not work with that. XO is for XenServer, not Xen on its own.
-
 Ok xen-orchestra is used to manage xenserver host right or wrong?
 thats what am doing. Again this install is on debian 8.4, which was created from a xenserver hostyes xenserver is not the hypervisor, my comment above recognizes that as i mentioned "xen"

We thought that you were saying that you installed Xen on Debian.

 This has not been tested with Debian. Likely it will work once the known issues have been resolved. But thus far it has only been tested on Ubuntu 15.10. I plan to get it updated for 16.04 once my lab boxes are back online.
-
 I had it work fine on debian 8.4 when on xenserver dundee 6.6 beta3
 and now after upgrade(fresh install) to xenserver 7, its no longer working, when i tried to install again on a fresh debian 8.4 install
-
 Yes, right now, apparently, there is an issue with Xen Orchestra's installer that the XO team is working on.
-
 @scottalanmiller
 oh i see
 also was having different issues with inconsistency with the old one that was why i just upgraded to xenserver 7 and wanted to start from scratchissues like i will be able to create vm from cloudinit images and then all of a sudden i can't anymore
 so many inconsistencies. One time i will do something and another it wont work again
-
 @scottalanmiller There is an issue while installing XO from the source, due to a breaking change in a dependency.
-

-
 Not yet.
-
 Fixed in next-release.
-
 @olivier
 So how do i get new release? wait till its released right and try install again? am guessing
-

-
