@scottalanmiller Have a great day ahead.. Early to go home
Awesome. That doesn't happen for you very often. Get some sleep!
-
@scottalanmiller I wish.. Well still working with ISO update Stuff
-
@scottalanmiller sleep? what is it ?
-
I need sleep to function. Not a morning person, but I get up and make it happen. Sometimes this means 2-3 cups of coffee.
I start getting sleepy anywhere between 2200 and 2300 hours. -
People tell me I'm not a morning person, but in reality I dislike walking in the door at the office and having people stop me on the way to my desk... come on.. let me at least get my coat off!
-
@Dashrender AMEN!
-
im pretty much good to go from 6am to 11pm
-
@Hubtech I did wake up. Decided to forgo the caffeine @minion-queen. I'm doing well and now at day 20 and going strong!
-
When I have a convention that I know I'm not going to get much sleep at (think DragonCon) I'll normally stop drinking coffee about 6 weeks out so caffeine will return to having a decent effect on me while I'm at the con.
-
@Dashrender At Spiceworld 2013, didn't need caffeine. I had pure adrenaline fueling me.
-
I'm just hoping I get to attend SW 2014... I couldn't go last year because we rolled out a new piece of software.
-
@Dashrender Yea...hopefully this year's is much less eventful for us...don't ask...

I start getting sleepy anywhere between 2200 and 2300 hours.I had the same thing happen to me - I found Vitamin B12 tablets at GNC - 1000mg - put one under my tounge (remember doing acid in the 60's?) and within a few minutes, I have my natural energy level back - no crash either - I love it! It was so bad in the afternoon for me, I felt like I could just lay down and go to sleep - I no longer have that issue with the B12 caplets. I've tried the walmart brand because they are cheaper, but not the same effect, so I only buy from GNC.

For a long time, I was truly a night person. Then I made the transition to being a 'morning' person, where my day normally started around 4:30 am. Now, due to my work schedule, I'm an evening/night person.
A.J. if your body needs sleep (usually 7-8 hours) then caffeine is only going to help a little bit. You can't 'bank' sleep or 'catch up' on sleep either. You use it or lose it. Kind of difficult sometimes.
-
@Bob-Beatty Actually Bob, the picture you put on Facebook a few weeks ago of the pack of B vitamins you were using (probably the ones you described) was what inspired me to try this. So thanks! I forgot I never properly thanked you! I had heard good things about B vitamins but it was that Facebook post that got me thinking about it very seriously.
-
@ajstringham Does it work for you? I had a couple of people tell me it didnt do much, but others swear by it.
-
@bud Yup. People say that you should "catch-up" on your sleep. Not actually possible. You just rest longer for a stretch of time to rejuvenate yourself to be back to functional. But yea, you can't make up sleep.
-
@bob-beatty Well, I'm on Day 20 in a row of no caffeine. Period. Maybe an infinitesimal amount from a little chocolate on a candy bar but that's it. I've had longer and more stable energy and ZERO crashes. I'll never go back. Almost broke down this morning and got some Cola because I was so tired but my mom talked me out of it. Glad I didn't.
-
@bob-beatty part of why it works from some and not others is you have to give up the caffeine and take good quality B12.
-
coffee is the best medicine-out of topic good morning everyone
