Outlets starting to report that no one is responding for a month and the Twitter feed has been dead for a while.

You have a loose definition of a month. If their last tweet was November 17, it is not even close to a month.

Just read the article, I feel like they updated the wording since I posted. I was unaware that I had interpreted a date into "a month." Maybe I did subconsciously without realizing that I wasn't quoting it.

People were wondering if there were customers of theirs in SW. Guess that answers that.

Got direct confirmation that the company is gone forever. Was shutdown but the investor.

Seen that posted someplace. But again, just a news article or post (i forgot which) with no citation.

Such a shame. I was a beta tester, and their product was really nice. I had plans to put it into production with next server refresh.

@marcinozga Scale is working with a handful of Nimboxx customers to try to give them a net to fall into. I hate to see people burned by a failing startup. Here's a link to our products page that highlights our HC3 product:

Let me know if you're interested in learning more about the product/Scale for that next refresh and I'd be happy to walk through a demo etc.

I've spoken with the Scale guys and one of my clients has a Scale Cluster in production. We continue to expect great things form them!

Glad to see you on here, @craig-theriac !

Yeah, scale is good gear. Just do not have a client with enough stuff to warrant the minimum node level yet.

                          I need larger clients!

Give a call to StarWind 🙂 We can seamlessly replace NIMBOXX (as we do run Hyper-V and VMware and not cheesy hypervisors still needs years of forging to catch up even with Hyper-V).
We can also buy old NIMBOXX gear from sad guys managed to actually buy from AWOL company. People we'll help to everybody! We're not trying to rip off poor little souls who spend money on something already we can move on and do free StarWind on top of existing SuperMicro gear + VMware or Hyper-V. Just in case.

I am Starwind customer already. But due to some internal shenanigans, I was forced to replace it with SAN.

                                LOL It's a very small world 🙂

Got some good news for you: we don't do software only anymore rather we ship a) hyper converged appliances built on Dell and with VMware or Hyper-V inside and b) will be doing full-blown hardware storage appliance thing soon. VERY soon. So if need a SAN (...and NAS of course with a proper SMB3 stack and decent NFS) we can help. Good news: we'll give you a discount on amount of money you spent on software. Not sure about full refund (as we try to be very aggressive in terms of pricing) but very noticeable partial - for sure. Technically you'll just pay for OEM priced hardware from us. More good news: we can buy out your old SAN as well 🙂

                                Good luck! 🙂
