Solved AD Membership vs GPO

How does Group Policy affect AD memberships or does it?
Comparing one user to another in the same small business. One does not have issues with using certain software, the other does. Does GPO policies re-write AD Membership permissions?

I'm pretty sure it's the otherway around. GPOs can be set to apply only to members who belong to specific AD groups.

Do what? Group Policy is just policies.

What do you mean by AD Membership permissions? Permissions and Groups/Users are two different things. Remember Authentication and Authorization are two separate processes.

It does not. AD and GPO are separate things.
