Well, the normal expensive ones on the shelf at target or walmart top out around $199. There are sets that go for over $450 retail.
But assuming $100 for higher mid range per box... 8 boxs = $800. Easy to be way higher or way lower.

Note it was the Louvre Mall, not The Louvre museum - attacked one soldier then got taken down by a second one.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-38889975I reckon I'm safe for now. My Vizio has been turned off since we moved.

I avoid buying smart tv's... The UI of Roku's or AppleTV is superior to the crap built into the tvs
-
@brianlittlejohn I actually have a Vizio smart TV but I use a Roku anyway because it runs so much better and is compatible with everything I use

We have a smart TV but also don't use it. We have Apple TV and a Quantum Byte connected to it.

yeah I have no desire to have a live mic in my house streaming to some unknown 3rd party. It would be bad enough if it was streaming to Samsung, but their EULA indicates it can be sent to whomever they want.

Unfortunately it is almost impossible to find a "dumb" tv now.... I guess the only thing to do is just not hook it up to the network.

Network is not needed... Hook up TV, set remote to HDMI-1, and add Roku, lol.

This is what I do. To make matters better - I don't use the remotes that came with that equipment either. I use a Logitech Harmony remote.
and all of the boxes are inside a cabinet, muffling anything they do hear. -
@Dashrender I like my harmony remote a lot!

With so many devices moving to radio, I was concerned that infrared wouldn't be an option anymore. I'm glad to see Roku still including an infrared port - can't recall if the Amazon TV does or not.
