Printing on Wax Paper
-
Mark this down as one of the most unusual requests in a while...office manager needs me to print to wax paper so they can rub it off on to another kind of paper...I've run it through my inkjet a few times...first time it jammed...the last three times it did pull it through and print but lightly and the 4th time it jammed...
Anyone ever have to do this? And if so, any tips? A search didn't turn up much help...

It's very hard to do. and not good for the printer. it must be inkjet and needs to be thicker wax paper to work so the rollers don't crumble it. Keep in mind the idea is that it comes off easy, so you could transfer it to say wood or something. Actually printing to keep on the wax paper will never work, sticking is what wax paper prevents. I would get a cheap $30 printer from walmart to use and trash after this project IMO.

That is purely why my wife wanted a new Inkjet. Ink dried up in the last printer because we never used it.
It's a crafting 'task' of sorts. I've not had much luck with it myself,.. but some have. You can't just use the wax paper. you have to use another sheet of paper as a carrier. You'll need to tape the wax paper to the carrier.

We have a circa late 90's HP color InkJet still in the office and it handled it well...unbelievable...

I fab my own circuit boards using a transfer from a regular piece of paper run through a laser printer on extra dark. Might give that a go onto what you want it on ultimately - nuts to the wax paper.
