Valve Launches Steam Machine Store
-
Finally, Valve's Steam has opened the Steam Machine Store selling real Steam Machines, Steam Links and other gear.
-
Now that is pretty sweet. I will be checking that out.

Gonna have to check this out!

It's the standard Steam store, just now with hardware. And mostly "coming in November." But pretty cool, all the same. At least now I have a known date that this stuff will be available and I can start budgeting for Christmas. I definitely want the Steam Controller and the Steam Link. These will be out in time to build a pretty sweet gaming rig for my daughters.

Going to be very interesting to see how this does. If the Steam Machine takes off, this could put a significant hurt into the traditional consoles and really boost PC gaming. NVidia must have a huge stake, if only spiritual, in this as the consoles lean heavily to AMD.

Hmmmm.... not really sure. I've been wondering about this too. I do a lot of adventure games that are not action based so maybe it will mostly work for me.

I got to play with the Steam Controller at PAX East. I really liked it... much better then an Xbox or PS3/4 controller. Had an odd but satisfying mouse feel to the "joysticks/touchpads". I was playing Borderlands the Pre-sequel, so playing with it on a shooter was really something, will take some getting used if I do pick one up.

That is pretty cool. I would like to get my hands on one of these and see how it is. I'm skeptical but interested.
