Jeez, everybody take cover and stay safe! Barely a breeze here, 72F and perfect.
Storms were so bad here yesterday that it took the millennium old Azure Window just south of us

And right after I posted that a huge gust lifted it up and put it back.
LOL, okay now that had to be funny to see.
On a side topic, how much did that cost?

We have power here, but there are folks to the north, to the east, and to the west of us without power. The 2 main suppliers are saying 96,000 and 70,000 each, citing customers without power this morning. At 9am they will begin assessment and repair, and have teams coming from out of state to assist. We're hearing estimates of 2-4 days until full restoration is complete.
-
@art_of_shred That sucks. I was without power for 14 days when Sandy hit. Never knew how far gone my internet addiction was until that happened
-
I have entered the 21st century now... I now have an IoT thingy in my house (Nest thermostat)... Let the hacking begin!

Half of Holmes County is still out as well.
In the nobody should be surprised by this, people are morons with traffic lights when the power is out. I saw more near crashes this morning than traffic lights because people refuse to treat them as a 4 way stop.

Is that a challenge? Let's see, you like the house to be around 50 when you get home, right?
-
@art_of_shred We lost power due to wind for a short time yesterday. We only had 50mph gusts and had ~30mph sustained for ~an hour. We have been having a few brown outs but I assume that's due to our supplier switching feeds.

I'll settle for a slightly warmer 52. But no more!

We didn't see any fluctuations with our client in Delhi, which we were waiting for.

I never lost power at home, but we lost internet.
The office is without power and internet.
-
The wind definitely has been crazy for about a week now.
thinks of all crazy conspiracy weather movies..

That's their secret, they are always down.

We have a major site down because there was construction going on that we weren't notified of and they decided to unplug everything. This happens to be in an area that is locked down so heavily we were never allowed inside of it, so nothing has been labeled. I need to test new wireless equipment which I can't do because there is a flood of calls coming in about e-mail authentication and we are essentially two people down (one co-worker is incredibly sick and the other is mitigating this offsite that is down).
Frustrating week. Trying to stay positive.

Yep, either we have power and they don't or the other way around. I can't think of a time where we had a power outage at the same time.
