Good advert for Samsung's S8 phone.
Kids took the wife's S8 phone out to use as a hotspot so they could play Pokémon Go while taking the dog for a walk.
They dropped it!
Since we've had a good 3-4 inches they couldn't find it and went home crying there little hearts out. So Sister in law went out with the eldest to look. After 3 hours of searching and me (from work) using the Google Locate my phone service we could narrow the search to a field they found it! Best of all it's still working fine lol. So 3hrs in the Cold and Wet and the phone survive its ordeal

That's a Google feature, my Windows phone had that too (through Microsoft device locator).

I used Find my iPhone to fine a phone that was left on a car roof, and flew off while on the interstate - it was still working the next day.
