Online PSU wattage calcultors - Do you trust them?
-
I'v been double checking the requirements of my new PSU (from a previous thread) and according to an online wattage calculator, I could get away with a 450 watt PSU. This begs the question, how much do you trust online PSU calculators?
I used this one: http://powersupplycalculator.net/

That's probably a question for @Mike-Ralston

I'd just look up the power requirements for each part, then add them together, then give yourself around 100 more than you need. Edit: To answer your question directly, not very much.

Don't forget when you've got a close estimate for your total requirements, find a power supply to ~130%. This will keep it in the most efficient zone and give you room to expand.
Example only, find the specs of your individual unit. If they're unpublished, you may wish to reconsider your choice.
