Yes, NTG has used it some. @art_of_shred did some work with it. What info are you looking for?

As I am just getting started, it's much like my Sharepoint project... How to get started, is there any point in taking a form created in Excel and importing it? etc.

We have a large number of forms that are both WORD, EXCEL or PDF that looking at things and reading what Sharepoint and Infopath are - are best replaced with such.

I am looking at books on Amazon - much like my thread on SharePoint...

InfoPath is pretty powerful but it is really dedicated to that one usage. It's perfect for getting lots of data into Sharepoint.

It's great for that. Are those things that are managed via SharePoint workflows?

SharePoint Work flows? It's unlikely since we haven't delved that far yet...

InfoPath is really a tool primarily for getting data into SharePoint. So if getting data into SharePoint's database so that you can manipulate, store and workflow it then InfoPath is really good. If your goal is something else, then it just generates XML. If you are building your own XML parsing system then that is great. If not, probably not the tool for you.
