Mint 17.1: Cinnamon Crashes When Connecting via XRDP

I have xrdp configured and working on a new build of Linux Mint 17.1. The system is fully patched and updated. I have vnc4server running to provide sesman a way to hand the session to xrdp. Xrdp works okay, it connects just fine, but once it connects Cinnamon crashes and goes to fallback mode. I can restart Cinnamon there but it crashes immediately. Fallback mode works fine but obviously that's not okay. But at least I can see that the remote desktop is functional.
