Fedora 30 - TigerVNC connection blank screen
-
I'm working on setting up a continued PoC and a VNC connection to my Fedora environment would be ideal. So I install Tigervnc following the instructions - since the default fedora download offers gnome that's what I've used. (I'm also not particularly caring as to the desktop experience).
I made the changes to
~/.vnc/xstartup
to haveexec /usr/bin/gnome-session
and still I get a blank screen while connecting.I've edited
/etc/systemd/system/[email protected]
to have my username and I can connect to the system, but still getting a blank screen.Looking for some assistance.

Fedora Gnome3 desktop uses Wayland display session. You need to be using Xorg instead.

You’ll have a better experience with using a different a Desktop environment that still uses Xorg for both the login screen and desktop session by default.

@black3dynamite No change, still getting a blank connection.
Just a black session.
