It wasn't crippling. Besides, it wasn't malware.
It was crippling and drove people to OpenOffice at the time.
Malware is anything that disrupts computer operations which was clippy by intent and actuality.

Not likely IMO since most of your visitors are techs and probably remember Clippy or at least references to him. It was just a fun idea, though. Maybe you could do it for one day
