As many people know, I fear metrics because they are widely misunderstood and abused. They are dangerous. Few people and the statistical knowledge to use them and the empathy to grasp how they are likely to be used.

I studied a lot of the problems with metrics while doing my graduate management work but hadn't seen these examples before.
