This is my friend Bohdan. He's one of the people who pre-purchased a ticket for MangoCon 2020 that got postponed because of COVID. So everyone almost got to meet him. He was working in Dallas in 2019 and we hung out a bit. He's a software engineer based in eastern Ukraine. He recently opened a bar and was interviewed on CNN talking about the war.
We are packing LIKE CRAZY. Too much to do to take a load to storage today. But we are loading the van and I'll take it tomorrow. We are down to one car because Paul already sold his, and he has to deal with tons of emergency COVID tests and things (emergency because of travel stuff, not because of having COVID) that require the only vehicle. He leaves Monday morning.
I'll be off to Houston tomorrow with a load for the storage unit. We are in the home stretch now!
We have someone over working in the yard today getting as much as possible ready.
Dominica is busily painting the dining room today.
My manager (IT Manager) messaged me a screenshot of speedtest.net results from one of our DC's that showed there is 33 ms ping times, and that I should look into this. I login the DC, pull up command line, ran a continuous ping to 126.96.36.199 with solid 3ms ping times. I sent him a screenshot of the command prompt and said ping times look solid to me, and speedtest.net does not give accurate results of network latency from a computer as the built-in ping utility from windows.
Currently having my mind BLOWN by this crazy, Siberian throat singing album my neighbor let me borrow. It's kinda metal-esqe, very heavy, but it's just voice and traditional folk instrumentation. And it's a studio album, so their use of reverb and other effects add to the uniqueness. NYTT LAND!!!
