The Spammers Have Arrived

Well it finally happened, this morning saw the first rash of spam posts in MangoLassi! Only a handful, maybe six and from two users who were clearly the same person. But this is how it starts. Hopefully some strong spam countermeasures will be coming in upcoming updates. The posts and the users have been removed so nothing to see. It wasn't anything "bad", just random sports gibberish in long form - really easy to spot.
If anyone sees spam posts, be sure to flag or report them. It is important to keep the site as spam free as possible. The less spam makes it through, the fewer attempts are made as the site is seen as a waste of effort.
This also signals that we are higher on the radar than we used to be. So think of it as a compliment.

Yeah, I always saw spam as a compliment. There's different levels of spammers that you attract the attention of as you hit new size plateaus.

We've had tons of spam accounts but none of them actively spamming until a burst at 4am.
