How do I find out if my Laptop is infected using any free tools or software available on internet

That's the job of an antivirus scanner. Like Windows Defender or Webroot. But of course, nothing catches everything or malware would not exist. You generally know that you are infected because the machines behavior changes, it's not very reliable to test with software after the infection has happened.

You shouldn't find out with free tools, the computer needs to have an antivirus or antimalware tools. Review the Malwarebytes tools for starters. If you are an IT Shop or business though you need to buy them.

Or, rule of thumb, if you think you are infected, you are infected. Finding out anything more is useless. If the software finds something, you need to nuke the device. If it doesn't find something, you need to nuke the device. The software discovery phase is kind of a waste of time and effort. The end result remains the same.

No, that should not be the take away. Paid AV doesn't help. That doesn't change anything. Paid AV just gives you (sometimes) better reporting tools and central management. The scanning isn't particularly better. The free stuff is just fine. The issue is that no AV is enough, paid or free.

Nuke it from the orbit, it's the only way to be sure. And then you should take a divorce with Windows, at that point you'll eliminate 99.99% of malware.

I'd personally nuke it while in standing in the blast radius.
Only way to make sure.

The safest plan is like @marcinozga suggested- Nuke it.
