Why Linux stands out amongst other OSes

Up until recently, Elementary OS was my platform of choice. It's an elegant, simple, and user-friendly solution for the desktop.
One thing that the Elementary developers do that I believe is fairly wise is to not allow upgrades from one major release to another.

Linux Distributions Should Enhance how Sudo Asks for Passwords

sudo is probably the most famous command in the Linux world. It allows ordinary users to run other commands or programs using the superuser privileges, but it doesn't show you the password while you are typing it.
This behavior should change by default.

This statement leading the article pretty much sums up Citrix to me: "I’ll let you in on a secret. Despite all my years working for Citrix, I never learned how to pronounce “Xen” correctly — even after quite a few brave colleagues tried to get me to say “szen” and not “ksen.”"

New iPad feature to compete with laptops could come in Apple's iOS 13

Commentary: When Apple unveils the next iOS at WWDC 2019 in June, it could integrate one of the trademarks of the original MAC
The debate over whether an Apple iPad can replace a laptop remains polarized. But with the launch of the next iteration of iOS, Apple could finally remove one of the longest-running arguments against the iPad as a productivity device.

Tesla’s autonomy event: Impressive progress with an unrealistic timeline

An old software joke explains Elon Musk's implausible autonomy timeline.
There's an old joke in the software engineering world, sometimes attributed to Tom Cargill of Bell Labs: "the first 90 percent of the code accounts for the first 90 percent of the development time.

                          zen is the correct pronunciation.

ksen would be like tsar but with a k instead of a t.

Password1, Password2, Password3 no more: Microsoft drops password expiration rec

For years, Microsoft's baseline security policy has expired passwords after 60 days.
For many years, Microsoft has published a security baseline configuration: a set of system policies that are a reasonable default for a typical organization.

Blackmagic eGPU Pro mini-review: Quiet, fast, and extremely expensive—like a Mac

The higher-end cousin to Blackmagic's first Mac eGPU delivers where it counts.
There are many criticisms of Apple's Mac products, but one of the most commonly cited is that they often don't have graphics power that's comparable to what you'd see in similarly priced Windows machines.
