Amazon Key flaw makes your home very, very vulnerable.

I wonder why any delivery driver would agree to work with such service. Something gets stolen from your house, blame the delivery guy. Huge liability for them.

Not likely. I guarantee that they have legal forms for that. And don't they use cameras?

Did you not read the article you linked? The hack specifically disables the camera.

That's different, though. We are talking about willingness to be the delivery guy. It's not really a realistic expectation that someone will hack the camera when YOU are the delivery guy.

But if they did, which is possible, it makes it not your problem. As it is just disabled and your house exposed.

Like you really wanted this service anyhow.

The whole thing seems like a bad idea.

Camera might not be covering everything, it might be placed badly, house layout could prevent that, just too many variables to rely on single camera.

I don't think that they are supposed to enter the house and go past the camera, right? They are to set the box inside? So if they can't be seen entering the house, they are covered.

Darling trying to get MacOS apps running on Linux. This prompts the obvious question of... why would anyone want something made for macOS somewhere else?

I'm sure I'm missing something, but wouldn't the same apply to Windows apps - why would anyone want something made for Windows OS to run somewhere else?

There are so many apps for Windows and only Windows. Lots of good stuff made there. Is there anything of value made exclusively for Mac? Once in a while Mac gets something good ported from Windows, but that is nearly the extent of it. Apple's own apps, which might be okay, are likely to be licensed in such a way as to preclude running them on Linux. Anything else, you'd expect anything that is Mac-only to be only viable in that ecosystem.

Linux 4.14 Filesystem Benchmarks. Basically, XFS remains the leader, but file system performance is very dependent on your use case so be sure to test for your needs.
