I'm actually watching through these again. Watching these now I realize just how much I probably originally learned from these. While silly and horribly dated it really teaches a lot.

It would actually be good for many younger IT people to see this to get some context on where we have come from.

I'm watching one with my five year old daughter right now. She is enjoying the show. She thinks that it is really cool.

My wife thinks that this is hilarious.

@scottalanmiller And Billy was learning computers by playing games! lol

ironically, that's sort of how I got started......my Aunt and Uncle introduced me to Mario Teaches Typing on a Packard Bell system. I was hooked.

I want to try teaching my daughter by using some eight bit machines. These things made me love computers when I was her age.

I wonder how much growing up at the same time that computers grew up influenced my love of them.

Although the format made me laugh and they are incredibly outdated, the videos really do explain everything in easy terms.

I think that the old 8bit era made learning concepts so much easier.

It's amazing how educational this show is, even today. I think especially for those who are younger, like yourself, this is an amazing way to learn about computer history and a lot of theory that is often lost due to the abstract nature of computers today.

I hope to soon start using this as part of my daughter's home school regime. It's been a couple of years now since I last watched it so I am looking forward to watching it again myself.

These are fantastic! I don't know how I'm going to keep myself from putting these on our Wiki at work and flagging them as mandatory training for all the engineers...

"I'm afraid computers don't do anything on their own" Until judgment day, then we'll start getting computers with Austrian accents.

I had not seen them before you posted them. I would have been 2 years old when they originally aired.
