      We've been talking about this here in ML but Collabora's Blog takes a look at the implications as well in their article Ubuntu Rejoins the Gnome Fold, as well as to the Wayland one. Ubuntu used to be a member of the Gnome and Wayland camp but, for some reason, decided to go their own way for a while. But now they are back, or will be in a year when 18.04 releases.
