You have Windows 7 or 8.1 running on your PC. If that PC uses the AMD Ryzen or Intel Kaby Lake CPUs, guess what? Microsoft has taken the affirmative step of locking you out of Windows updates.
That's right. Microsoft has decided that it, and it alone, will determine if you can get updates for your personally owned hardware. No product updates. No security patches. Nothing.....

This isn't new news. MS announced no support for non Win 10 for the CPU before Kaby Lake and walked it back, but said it would return in the future. This should be no surprise.

My answer to the OP. I mean I am not saying MS is good or bad, or Linux OS's are good or bad. But the OP was just a whiny bitch.
